This was our favorite cooking class we’ve done in Italy! Loved the start at the market and see where all the ingredients and the small shops in town. We had a small group just us and another couple from the UK. You could tell how well trained and professional Giuseppe is as a chef and we loved seeing an inside view of how he works in the kitchen. His apartment was a beautiful and unique setting and was also personalized for our group. Can’t forget about the delicious food and wine! It was spectacular! Thanks so much! …

A family of 8 of us did a cooking class with Giuseppe. We started with meeting him in the Town and collecting some fresh ingredients and being shown some hidden gems in lucca including a wonderful grocer and a bakery. We then went to his place which was beautifully decorated with our aprons and utensils ready to be used. Champagne was offered on arrival and available throughout the preparation for us. We prepared 4 dishes which were simple enough to repeat when we are home but really delicious! Once cooked we sat down and had a family meal with various different wines followed by coffees. What a wonderful day spent with an amazing chef and host. We really felt like we were at a friends house having a meal cooking together. …

If you're looking for a Tuscan cooking class, this is the one. Giuseppe was an energetic and engaging teacher. There were eight of us in the class. We met at a convenient smaller square in the heart of the city. Giuseppe then took us shopping for ingredients at his favorite bakery and fruit and vegetable market. Then we went to his apartment, where the kitchen is beautifully adapted for teaching. Every one took part in the preparation, and then we had the terrific three-course lunch that was the result. For each course, Giuseppe brought forth an appropriate wine. This is a great activity for families to do together. Our group had participants from their mid-twenties to sixties. After class, you walk away with your apron and a useful booklet of Tuscan recipes to try at home. My wife and I not only enjoyed the class, but also the opportunity to chat with the other participants. Everyone had fun, learned a lot, and ate well.…
