- RoseS361Fall River, Massachusetts8 contributionsCooking Tuscan StyleThis was a most enjoyable and memorable day, loved everything about it!. The walking tour, the food selection, and the ambiance. Chef Guiseppe made us feel at home as we prepared our feast, while sampling some of the regional wines. This is a must do for anyone looking for a small group cooking class.Visited October 2022Written October 18, 2022
- Haley VNew York City, New York70 contributionsDon’t miss it!!This was our favorite cooking class we’ve done in Italy! Loved the start at the market and see where all the ingredients and the small shops in town. We had a small group just us and another couple from the UK. You could tell how well trained and professional Giuseppe is as a chef and we loved seeing an inside view of how he works in the kitchen. His apartment was a beautiful and unique setting and was also personalized for our group. Can’t forget about the delicious food and wine! It was spectacular! Thanks so much!Visited September 2019Traveled as a coupleWritten April 27, 2020
- Pam D1 contributionTen star experience 💫!The joy I felt started when I met up with Guiseppe lasted til I walked out the door. Shopping for items in local stores was especially fun. The apartment was classic Italian and the beautiful table set by Liz was personalized with our name tags. The menu was posted and listed our names. Preparing the food, drinking wine and eating tasty cheese, we learned new techniques for rolling gnudis- didn’t know what that was before. The meal was delicious and beautiful.Visited October 2022Traveled with friendsWritten October 18, 2022
- Margaret H2 contributionsWonderful Experience! This was a highlight of our trip to Italy. We had so much fun and we all enjoyed our day and meal at Chef Giuseppe's beautiful home. Chef Giuseppe teaches in a very comfortable manner. While helping prepare the food, we learned many useful tips and techniques. Chef Giuseppe even went out of his way to accommodate our request for a birthday cake. We loved the class and would definitely recommend it to others. Thank you Chef Giuseppe! If we're back in Lucca, you'll definitely see us again!Visited April 2022Written June 20, 2022
- C_daniels89London, United Kingdom18 contributionsBest day in Lucca!A family of 8 of us did a cooking class with Giuseppe. We started with meeting him in the Town and collecting some fresh ingredients and being shown some hidden gems in lucca including a wonderful grocer and a bakery. We then went to his place which was beautifully decorated with our aprons and utensils ready to be used. Champagne was offered on arrival and available throughout the preparation for us. We prepared 4 dishes which were simple enough to repeat when we are home but really delicious! Once cooked we sat down and had a family meal with various different wines followed by coffees. What a wonderful day spent with an amazing chef and host. We really felt like we were at a friends house having a meal cooking together.Visited December 2019Traveled with familyWritten January 1, 2020
- Solomon O31 contributionsOutstanding, balanced, informative, fun, and deliciousOur family had an amazing time in this cooking class. Giuseppe is a wonderful host and chef, extremely knowledgeable and connected with the food and history of Lucca and the Tuscany region. He took us on a wonderful shopping tour before we return to his lovely home and perfectly appointed kitchen. We tasted and learned about olive oils, focaccias, wine amx Prosecco and learned cooking skills and techniques. It was great fun to learn about Giuseppe‘s life and passion for cooking and get to know the other class participants. Great balance of cooking, guiding and enjoying food and conversation. Highly recommend!Visited May 2022Traveled with familyWritten May 27, 2022
- Kelly RWhite Oak, Texas23 contributionsFantastic day with wonderful people in an outstanding place!!My mother and I participated in the cooking class on March 7, 2018. We met in the heart of Lucca and explored several shops needed to develop our menu for the lunch we would be making. Giuseppe had lots of interesting bits of information about the city, shops, and various local products (breads, cheeses, olive oil, grains, etc.). Once we had our items, we headed back to his place to make lunch. His residence alone was worth the visit as it was exquisitely decorated. Our menu for the day included an artichoke salad, truffle risotto, spinach and ricotta gnudi with a homemade marinara sauce, lemon custard with buchelatto, and lots of wine! (Please forgive any spelling errors). We had a truly spectacular day and would do it again in a heartbeat. I HIGHLY recommend participating if you are ever in Tuscany!Visited March 2018Traveled with friendsWritten March 21, 2018
- Monica R124 contributionsA cooking class filled with fun and great food! One of my favorite things to do in a new place is to take a cooking class, and this is one of the best Iever. I love that it takes place at Chef Giuseppe's historic palazzo home. It feels less like a cooking class and more like an interactive dinner with friends. And the fact that chef limits his class to only 8 people really makes for a convivial and intimate setting. We all met at II Cuore, a small deli within the old walls of Lucca. After introductions, it was off to the bakery and produce markets to select our fresh supplies. Then, a few blocks later, we entered Chef's beautiful home and his spacious and well-equipped kitchen, where we were given our aprons (which were included with the cost of our lesson) and shown to our work stations which surrounded a beautiful wood block table. Before beginning the cooking class, we were all given an lovely glass of Prosecco to toast our endeavors. Our class consisted of instructions for a fresh salad with baked stuffed zucchini blossoms (fabulous!), 2 entrees consisting of risotto with truffle butter and asparagus and a spinach ricotta dish, covered in a tomato basil and garlic sauce, and finishing with a dessert of a smooth lemon and vanilla custard accompanied with fresh berries and slices of the famous Lucca raisin bread. All of which was paired with wines, and ending with espresso. We participated in the preparation of each course, as Chef Giuseppe gave us very helpful instructions as well as wonderful stories of food and cooking in Italy, all done with his wonderful sense of humor and patience. This man clearly loves cooking and sharing his knowledge with others (even us amateurs) We enjoyed the fruits of our labor together at the beautifully set dining table, which had been decorated by Giuseppe's wife. It was a fun and convivial (the wines helped) group of 7 and we had a great time cooking and dining together. At the finish of the class, we were given a cookbook and left feeling grateful for such a wonderful day. The class lasted from 9:30 AM, when we met to go shopping, until the finish of our dining at 3:00 PM. An excellent value and thoroughly enjoyable. Do yourself a favor and sign up for one of Chef Giuseppe's classes.Visited May 2019Traveled with friendsWritten June 7, 2019

I was lucky to get a very last minute place on the course. Liz was fantastic in organising my booking. Giuseppe is a lovely man, showing us his favourite food shops, bread, fruit and veg... the kitchen is well designed, the dining table is beautifully presented. The cooking demos were easy to follow; the food was amazing to taste. Great atmosphere, many thanks to Giuseppe and the people in my group- I had SUCH a fantastic day

I was a customer as well. The kitchen was a very comfortable size as well as the table we eat out. In our group there were eight. It’s not appropriate in my opinion for young children. If you have a teenager that loves to cook them by all means

Hi Naveen
You need to contact them directly about this. Perhaps through their web page. I am not the chef of the cooking class. Just one of the participants. I am sure Giuseppe will do all he can to accommodate you. Cheers
We're planning to stay in Florence a couple of nights. Is it easy to get to this place via public transport?
