Through lack of choice, in this area of Livorno, and the prices being charged by the neighbouring restaurant, we decided to give this establishment a go. The food was edible, but poorly presented, lacked any creative flair and was not as hot as it should have been. I've had better meals from a takeaway van. The service was average, too. We were a group of ten and it seemed like too much effort for the waiting staff to attend to us. My advice to the owners would be to serve coffee and pastries and do that well. If you want to serve food, get a chef who can cook properly and front of house staff who care about their customers. I also judge an eatery on its toilets. Needless to say, the one available here was pretty grim! We wouldn't return or recommend to others.

Cruise line tour brought 40 people into the restaurant for coffee or gelato. The two servers were overwhelmed. Practice was to take the orders for one table of four, go into the restaurant and return with their drinks. No concept of taking orders from more than one table at once. We were obviously at the wrong table as we waited more than 15 minutes before our order was taken. We were taken to a freezer to select our gelato. Gelato turned out to be gelato on a stick. Freezer was not very cold from being opened too often resulting in a melting mess. We were not impressed.
