I organized a private tour for 8 of my fellow cruise passengers with this tour company. We were met in Livorno by Sabrina in a brand new van which was extremely comfortable for all of us. Sabrina is a wonderful tour guide and a great driver as well. She was very knowledgeable about the area in which we were touring. Wisely, Sabrina drove us to Pisa before the large crowds came and told us the best areas for our photos. Then we were on our way to San Gimignano though the most beautiful Tuscan countryside. We had some time on our own to take photos and she pointed out a little lane to follow for a panoramic view which we never would have found on our own. We had gelato at the world's best gelato parlour - and it truly was!! We stopped for lunch at a little family run trattoria in the middle of a vineyard. The homemade pasta that she suggested was probably the best that I have ever tasted. Then on the way back to the ship we stopped at Fattoria Le Corti for a wine tour and tasting with appetizers included. This winery also makes their own olive oil so many of us bought some to take home. I highly recommend this tour as it was very relaxing and informative. Sabrina was awesome and I can't say enough good things about her!

We arranged in advance a private day tour of Pisa and Florence from our Cruise ship. Paolo, our guide/driver dealt with the pre-arrangements with minimum fuss and when we met him at the arranged time on disembarkation his relaxed urbane style inspired confidence.

Paolo's itinerary was an ideal collection of highlights - without being overly intensive. He recommended adjustments to adapt to the circumstances of the day (3 big ships in) and was happy to be flexible with timings in response to the preferences of the group.

His driving, navigation and parking achieved the desired objective of minimising the transit component of the tour and maximising the time at the sites.

Paulo's commentary was pleasant and informative without dominating the tour. It felt more like a chat with a knowledgeable local travelling companion than a lecture.

Highly recommended.

I booked this trip purely on the previous reviews from Trip Advisor. Paolo met our party of four at the cruise ship quayside in Livorno exactly as arranged. He took us to Pisa first and at 8:30, we almost had the place to ourselves to take photographs from almost any angle. We had 45 minutes at the main sights of Pisa and then drove to Florence. Paolo took us through some wonderful Tuscany countryside and we stopped for coffee in a small Tuscan village, were the coffee and pastries were wonderful. We then drove into Florence and stopped at all the beautiful sights and buildings. Paolo had booked tickets at our request for entry into the Accademia to see Michelangelo's David - truly a wonderful sight - and we went straight into the gallery without having to queue. Next was St. Croche, Ponte Vecchio and free time in Florence to see whatever we liked. Paolo picked us up right in the centre of Florence and the Duomo, Medeci chapel etc. Paolo got us back at the ship promptly at 5:00pm after a truly memorable day. Thank you Paolo.

We had a shore excursion with Paolo of Unforgettable Tuscany. It was easy to get in touch with him through emails. I picked his company because it is based in Livorno so I would not be paying or waiting for someone to drive to Livorno to meet us at the ship. Paolo is very knowledgeable and interesting. He speaks perfect English. I had problems understanding Missouri accents when I moved here from NY. I had no problem with understanding Paolo. He arranged lunch for us at a sit down restaurant in Florence where the 8 of us could sit together. He also arranged a wine and olive oil tasting at a Tuscan winery. We had a great time. The ship was in port on a Monday so the main museums in Florence were closed. Even though we missed them, I don't feel a loss because there was plenty to see, we had a great time, and we did not feel rushed.

This was our favorite excursion during a 7-day Mediterránean Cruise. After two very busy days in Amalfi/ Pompeii and Rome, this was just what we were looking for. We planned to visit Pisa and Lucca. As we started talking with our drive, Sandre, and told him that we wanted to have a relaxed lunch and live wine, he called a boutique winery to see about scheduling lunch and a tour. Sandre took us to Pisa and then dropped us off in Lucca to wander around. Our 6 year old son Was excited to climb the leaning Tower of pizza, but we found that you have to be eight years old to do that. Fortunately he found plenty of towers to climb and Luca. Look at was also lots of fun to explore the shops, cathedral, piazza and little pastry shops. Next standard took us to a boutique winery up in the hillside, pointing out a property that Napoleon’s sister had owned. The Four course Tuscan lunch paired with wine was exactly what we were looking for and not too boring for our six-year-old. It was a wonderful experience and the price was much more reasonable (almost half) than the same amount of time for a day with a driver from Naples. We would highly recommend unforgettable Tuscany for your trip to Tuscany,

Paolo Bonetti is an amazing tour guide. He picked us up promptly at our port. He helped us customize the tour to our taste. He helped us wisely use our time to get the most from our day. You won't be disappointed.

We were taking a cruise that stopped in Livorno and I found Paolo through Trip Advisor and contacted him about a Florence and Pisa tour. He was really great to work with - answered all questions and set up our reservation for us and told me our driver would be waiting for us at the pier. We met David, our guide, on the morning of our tour and set off for Pisa and Florence. While these 2 cities are spectacular in their own right, David really made the whole day amazing for us. He was a wealth of information and chatted with us on every topic under the sun from the economy to Seattle grunge bands from the 90's (we were there the day Chris Cornell died if you're wondering how that got into conversation). David dropped us off to see the Leaning Tower with only a few feet to walk to enjoy it. The folks from the cruise who took the big bus tours from the cruise line had to park below and walk up to the tower. We were given some free time to wander around and take photos and then it was off to Florence. David drove us through some typical Tuscan landscape on the way which was really beautiful. He gave us a lot of information about everywhere we visited and gave us plenty of time to see Florence. He even was gracious enough to take us back to our 1st stop in Florence so we could buy something there that we regretted not buying when we were there - excellent service! He then took us to his favorite gelato place in Florence (which was amazing, btw) before driving us back to our ship in Livorno. He really made this day great for us and left our entire family with such great memories. We would definitely recommend booking with Unforgettable Tuscany Tours. We would never have had such a great experience on a big bus tour through the cruise line. This day was amazing from start to finish!

Paolo led us on a wonderful tour of the Tuscan/Chianti countryside, with many stops for photo shots. We Stopped at San Grimginano , excellent shopping markets, it was the highlight of my time in Italy. Paolo picked us up at our cruise ship on time , in a clean van and drove us out to the countryside. He was pleasant to talk with and had interesting stories. We had extra time on our tour so made an extra stop at at a private castle and then he got us back on time. Excellent day and best tour pricing we were able to find in Tuscany. Thanks Paolo!

Teresa picked us up on time right at the gangplank of our cruise ship. No mean feat as Oceania pre-trip info said we would be anchored out, NOT. All ships dock-in in Livorno and Paolo, the company owner went to great lengths to insure where and when we could be picked up.This company gives great service even before the tour starts.
We visited San Gimignano and a number of small typical Tuscan towns plus a winery. Loved our lunch stop, not at all touristy. Teresa was very knowledgeable, accommodating and interesting. Tour was much better price than ship and other tour companies and included more.

We had a wonderful day in stunning Pisa and beautiful Florence, expertly arranged by Paolo, of Unforgettable Tuscany. He took us to places of great interest, as well as amazing scenery. He has local knowledge and this saved us countless time avoiding long queues and being unneccessarily frustrated by the hordes of tourists in both cities. It is definately worth the small extra amount paid (compared to bus tour companies) to have such a fantastic guide to take you to see the maximum in the time available. Thanks again, Paolo!
