A gorgeous view of Florence, after a nice bus ride from Piazza San Marco. We took bus #12 to arrive here. Had lunch, visited the Amphitheater, Museum, Piazza with market, and Cathedral before heading back after a few hours. Lively and beautiful, it is certainly worth the time.

Seated in a Roman theatre in this delightful hill town offered the best view of the mountains. Its easy to get to . Hop onto the No.7 bus from Piazza San Marco which climbs 8 km to Fiesole's centre.. The views on the way offer an exceptional treasure of villas which create a passion to rent one on a future... More

From Fiesole it's an easy walk downhill to San Domenico (along a secondary road). For the first part of the trip, the road is one way. At some point it becomes two way (but no wider). The technique seems to be, drive fast and honk your horn to warn cars coming the other way! So you need to take care... More

Fiesole in itself is a nice place to visit. However the lucky visitor who happens to be there on a sunny day the wonderful panoramic view of Florence's skyline is AMAZING. Next to the view from Piazzle Michelangelo this 15 min bus trip to Fiesole will imprint in art lover's memory images to last a !lifetime.

we're talking about Fiesole, a little village and a church on top of a hill from where we can see Florence. The view is worth a thousand words, allow me to use a "cliché". But it so very true!

Fiesole is a charming hillside town above Florence with attractions of the Roman Amphitheater, ruins and Etruscan museum amongst others. It's a walking town with ease to visit the sights. Another great sight is San Domenico Fiesole where you can get great panoramic views of Florence and the surrounding countryside. It's a bit of a walk up, but worth it.... More

The drive up to Fiesole is twisty, winding roads but when you get to the top??? The view looking down on the City of Florence is gorgeous.
