Ebike tour naar Fiesole
Aug 2020 • Family
Super visit ! A diamond in the rough.... if you wish to get out of the city for a couple of hours this is an amazing tour. I loved every minute of it and the ebike is a great “tool” when you go uphill... the convent is worth a visit and a large well maintained construction that you can discover enterring through the chapel ! A nice restaurant right next to the convent and some small places around the center for a drink or a bite. I would do it again !

"Breathtaking Views over Florence"
Aug 2019 • Couples
Took the on/off bus (the red line) up to the hills in Fiesole. Sensational views along the winding road up to the top. Beautiful homes and gardens along the way. Once we reached the top we were stunned at the breathtaking views overlooking Florence. Stunning. Stopped for an icecream and had a wander around this small but lovely town/village. Took lots of pics and then got the on/off bus back. Stop at stop 17. Thats the closest to the Duomo. A definite must do experience if stopping in Florence!

If you have time in such a busy city jump on the hop on/hop off open too bus and take the red line up to Fiesole which is up in the hills above Florence. Once your up there follow the footpath up behind the bus stop and you’ll be rewarded with absolutely breathtaking views!!!

Beautiful views

There is no need to book a tour just get the bus number 7 bus from San Marco up to Fiesole, runs every 20 minutes. Buy you ticket from the machine near the bus stop 1.50 euro each and get 2 so you have one for the return. You must stamp the first ticket in the machine on the bus the 90 minutes runs from then. If you don't stamp it there is a fine. Lots of restaurants and coffee bars. Great views, well worth the trip. Takes about 20 minutes on the bus.

Stunning views. Walked up
Aug 2017 • Family
We walked up to San Domenico to see the views - they are lovely. A great walk during the day and a fabulous view from a very high point. There are lots of things to see in the area and you would enjoy the time seeing it.

Interesting place to vusit
Aug 2016 • Friends
Took the no 7 bus from Florence to visit the old Etruscan hillside town of Fiesole. Half way up the hill we alighted from the bus and paid a visit to the 15th-century country church and convent of San Domenico di Fiesole. Where soon after the convent opened, the early Renaissance painter Fra' Angelico joined the order, and started his long career of painting Altarpieces.
TIP: Once finish here take the next bus to Fiesole square and drink a cool wine at Café' al N5 under the lime trees on the left side of the square.

Wonderful views. Lots of history. Delightful. A great way to spend Monday when many of the museums are closed. No crowds.

The view is stunning!

I come there from time to time for workshops/ conferences at EUI and I am thrilled: every time I come out from the bus at San Domenico and look at the Fiesole hill. This is perhaps the best example of harmony of architecture + nature I have ever seen.

A beautiful village above Florence--you can "do this" in a few hours
Nov 2016 • Couples
A gorgeous view of Florence, after a nice bus ride from Piazza San Marco. We took bus #12 to arrive here. Had lunch, visited the Amphitheater, Museum, Piazza with market, and Cathedral before heading back after a few hours. Lively and beautiful, it is certainly worth the time.
