This was our second trip to Italy and I wish we had found L&B Tours much sooner. My husband and I have traveled extensively and taken many tours throughout the world, and both agree that L&B was the best company we have ever worked with. I was looking for a very specific type of tour through Tuscany to include a goat farm, vineyards, and a medieval village. This was the search I typed into Google and L&B popped up. They offer private and small group tours and this was just what we were looking for. From the moment I contacted Janet, I knew I had found a great resource for travels. She patiently answered all my questions and thought the experience provide the most excellent communication we have ever experienced. Our driver, Mahti, picked us up near our hotel and we had a delightful day touring a goat farm, vineyards that included both olives and grapes/wine and even honey, and an amazing medieval village. Mahti, a native Italian who spoke very fluent English, shared so much amazing information about all we were seeing, including some of his world travels. It was a wonderful relaxing day and based on the whole experience with L&B we will definitely use this wonderful company each and every time we visit Italy.

Definitely a wise choice to begin our trip with L & B tours in Venice. We had been to Venice before, but seeing it with the tour guide provided was like a whole new experience. Being that we were a bit jet lagged, she made all the arrangements to meet us at our hotel, secure a private water taxi for the duration, and not only showed us major sights, but private tour of a glass factory in Murano and recommendations for places to see and eat the next day. She continually checked in to gauge our energy level, interests, budget, and kept within our agreements. She was a wealth of information, professional, and made sure our first (and second day with all of her suggestions) were the best they could be. She gave us tips for not wasting valuable time to get ahead of lines, and ensured our first day in Venice was superb. We continued to say that choosing to book the tour with L & B was the best choice because we might not have used the time as well and would have wasted precious time. Time (and money) well spent!

We found this company by a miracle! We really wanted to go on a wine tasting and everything we found was not operating or was booked! We called the night before to get a reservation for the next day!

We ended up getting a booking and were very happy! This was supposed to be s Private Tour but she asked if we wanted to do a small group! We were fine with that and it actually made it fun!

We went to a castle and did a wine tour, learned about the family that is still living there, did a cooking lass on an old Italian kitchen that came with 4 wine tastings! The chef was amazing explaining everything he did. We all were able to take part in the cooking! We received a recipe book with our recipes on it and an apron!

We later ate our own recipes and drank wine! We had so much fun and it was a blast! The guide was incredible and the food fantastic! We are so thankful we were able to see and do this! One of the HUGE highlights of our trip! A+++++

While most people wouldn't expect a local to be into a tour discovering an ancient castle in Tuscany. You'd be mistaken, instead most of us who have lived here 9+ years are always on the hunt for cool new places. It's an endless discovery here and I am grateful to live in such a bountiful place.

This past weekend, my husband and I went on a tour organized at the Trebbio Castle by the fine folks at L&B Italian Tours, Hali was our contact and was tremendously professional. The tour lasted about 3 1/2 hours, we departed from piazza san marco in Florence at 10:45am in a nice van for a half hour ride to the 12th century castle, known for being the birthplace of the famous 'Pazzi conspiracy' against the Medici family.

This is a huge deal, as anyone who comes here knows this story of the Pazzi's trying to gain control of the city and murder Lorenzo de' Medici and his brother. They were only half successful and there is a reason we see the Medici balls all over the place in Florence.

At the castle, we were greeted by the affable Alberto, who is part of the family who now lives there and is in charge of operations. This is an important detail because he really was the right person to go in-depth on the awesome history of the place and family story. Which is pretty amazing! He was super funny, nice and really made our experience one a kind. I usually get bored to tears in wine cellars (because I've been on a lot of tours) but this was fun. He cracked jokes the whole time while answering our numerous questions regarding the types of wines (which are excellent). They even produce bubbles here, with the traditional champagne method, even using sangiovese grapes as part of the process, which I am really hoping to try soon.

After the tour, we ended up in the kitchen to make fresh pasta with a lovely woman who was around 80-85 year's young. We took turns rolling out the pasta and cutting it into strips and even learned a few ragu tips before settled down in a warm, cozy room with a large fireplace to enjoy our meal with two wines from the winery. A younger red (which costs only 7 euros in the shop) and a more profound riserva, both are Chianti from the Rufina area.

We had time to get a few bottles from the shop and the driver picked us up at 2:30pm. An easy, absolutely fun afternoon. I would recommend this tour to anyone looking for a unique wine & food excursion in Tuscany. L&B Tours handled everything with precision, you can't go wrong!

Our L&B tour guide Silvia provided us a fantastic and unique walking tour of Florence. Her vast knowledge of the city and her fun, personable nature made our day a great experience.
Silvia knows the places to go, from visiting the major sights, local foods, or shopping for quality Italian clothing, Our boat trip on the Arno River floating under the Ponte Vecchio at sunset was a unique experience totally unexpected. Since we had been to Florence previously, we wanted to explore the city from the perspective of a local.
Silvia tailored the tour specific to our requests and provided us an outstanding experience that made the day uniquely different from any of our previous trips. Absolutely fantastic way to explore Florence! Looking forward to going back and experiencing more of the local life.

L&B Italian Tours staff were extremely helpful, courteous and offered us so many tour options. ( Thanks Hali) - Top Notch Customer Service! Most definitely planning a return trip in the fall. An amazing and informative experience with our tour guide Silvia throughout our trip. She was friendly, fun and extremely knowledgeable of Italy. Every aspect of our trip arranged by L&B Italian Tours was excellent from our accommodations - amazing and affordable villa, cooking school, wine tasting, shopping, tours in and around Florence to the airport pick-up. I would highly recommend this company and its services for its reliability, excellent communication and superb service. Silvia's restaurant recommendations were also fabulous. Florence and the surrounding cities are a must visit! I have so many awesome photos and memories. Thanks again Hali, Silvia and L&B Italian Tours.

I went on a private car tour with my family and sister in law of Rome. We were lucky enough to get the amazing Claudio. He really made our time in Rome, which was only one day, count. He drove us around to all the big sites and truly made them all come to life for us. My children, aged 7,10,11 and 14 hung on his every word. He was very knowledgeable, easy to listen to and very adaptable and entertaining. His passion for his hometown of Rome was evident and was contagious!!!!! In the 5 hours we had, he managed to show us more of Rome than we ever could have dreamed of seeing in one day. Thank you L&B Tours and Claudio.

My brother and family where travelling to Italy for the first time with four lovely kids in tow. As time was limited, and it was January, we booked a private car tour of Rome with L&B Tours. It was the best decision we made! Our driver, Claudio, a local Roman, drove us to all the main attractions, telling us their history and antidotes during the drive. Once there, we could explore and take pictures having been chauffeur driven right up to the main sights including Trevi Fountain and Colosseum. As it was raining a little in the morning, we escaped being wet and could enjoy Rome from the car. Our tour included "jump the queue" tickets to the Colosseum and we finished at The Vatican before being driven back to our hotel; Claudio even made spontaneous stop at the church of St Clemente which was the highlight of my brothers trip going beyond expectations. If you are short for time or just want to see Rome with a licensed guide and save your feet by being driven around the Eternal City, this is the ideal way to travel. Our guide was very warm , knowledgeable and great with the kids - even finding a historic gelateria to sample authentic gelato!

Definitely a high light of my visit to Florence. The first time I visited the Uffizi gallery it was overwhleming but this time with the guide the experience was completely different, it was pleasant and informative with interesting information about the history of Forence and the art work in the gallery. I was able to ask questions and discuss the art which made the visit personal as well as informative. A great experience. I would definitely choose L&B Tours again.
