My wife and I toured the market with Stefania and we stopped at several booths and tried ravioli ( excellent) ! Truffles in many different forms and aged balsamic vinegar. We enjoyed each preparation and Stefania had everything lined up and ready for us. After the market we toured the Duomo and cathedrals in the piazza. Stefania was very knowledgeable about the history of the architecture and legends who helped build these magnificent structures. We then sat down and sampled Florentine street food including lampredotto ( cow’s 4th stomach) sounds crazy , but it’s good! And a few other delicacies. To close out the tour Stefania took us to Vivoli for gelato, the finest gelato in all of Italy , she sat with us and had a great experience. My wife and I had a great time

Firstly don't eat breakfast! We met Bruno, our guide at the Santa Maria Novella Station at 11am and then set off on a superb gastro tour of this beautiful city. We tried delicious foods we may never had done on a menu and visited places we would never have found on our own. Bruno was friendly and fun and so knowledgable about his City and Country. Do take a camera as we visited some of the city's most famous landmarks enroute. There was just enough walking in between stops - for more eating! The tour lasted over three hours and was an amazing way to spend a day in Florence. There were just 4 in our party and we all loved it! We also revisited some of the stops in the following days. Thank you Bruno and Food tours of Florence!

This was the first of 3 tours we did with Tasty Tours and our guide Demetra set the bar pretty high for the others to follow. Demetra is a charming young lady with a great personality. Her knowledge of both the food and history of Florence made for a enjoyable evening. We were lucky to be meeting our friends Keith and Karina on the tour and we were joined by Jeff and Lauran, a lovely young couple from Nashville. The 6 of us had a fantastic time as Demetra guided us from one fantastic meal to the next and along the way pointed out historical places and interesting things that we would of never noticed on our own. Another bonus of an even food tour is that the city comes alive in a different way at night and one thing is sure Italians do know how to enjoy themselves. Congratulations Demetra and Martra you have a winning formula and i hope it continues to go well for you. A highly recommended tour.

Stefania was our guide. We toured the Central Market and she showed us a lot of the food that was sold and explained which region they were from and how they were typically prepared. We had a nice range of ravioli with different types of stuffing (they were delicious). We also tried truffles and aged balsamic vinegar, each in different forms. They were so delicious that we immediately bought a couple bottles at the stand! Afterwards, we toured the Duomo and other architectural aspects of Florence (we learned about how wine was delivered in the past). We then sat down and sampled some traditional Florentine food, which was also delicious. Finally, Stefania took us to Vivoli for gelato, which had the best gelato I had while in Italy. Everything was prepared for us when we arrived so there was no delays getting the food. Stefania was very knowledgeable. Would highly recommend.

We had a great 3 hour walking food tour with Stefania. This was our third trip to Florence, and we learned more about the city and the food with great thanks to our lovely and friendly guide. She was very knowledgeable and spoke great English.

There were just two couples on the tour which made listening and interacting much better. We saw many other tour groups with 20 plus people. The San Lorenzo open food market was outstanding and we covered a fair amount of ground seeing sights and tasting local cuisine starting with pasta, ending with gelato and many delicacies in between (truffle, raviolis, figs, balsamic, tripe, panzanella, grappa, etc.) We also made stops at some of the key monuments such as duomo, San Lorenzo chapel, baptistery, Michelangelo monument, etc. I suspect we walked 2 - 3 Miles and would suggest wearing better shoes than I did given the uneven roads. This tour is not for those that want to cram in all the big highlights in one day such as Uffizzi, Duomo, Academia, etc, but it was perfect for us who has seen all that.

This review was for Marta last year, she was excellent. We did all the food we could! Eating Salami, Cheese, pappa al pomodoro, peposo, pizza, gelato, espresso and wine was incredible. Would do again over and over.

This was an wonderful evening in great company. Our guide Demetra, was very helpful and informative. SHe took us to plead we would not have found ourselves and was incredibly adept at explaining the differences in food culture between italy and other European centers. The evening was filled with good food and laughter. We defiantly had Full tummy's!
