We spent the morning with chef Maria and couldn't have enjoyed it more. We stopped by some local stores and the market and then got to work preparing a delicious lunch of roast pork loin, hand made paperdelle and pana cotta for dessert, all the while chatting and enjoying the day and wonderful wine. I would absolutely recommend this for any group, big or small as a perfect way to mix up a cultural local experience on top of the terrific museums. Everyone is incredibly friendly and wants the experience to be memorable for their guests. The facility itself features interior designers, furniture restoration experts and a showroom of their work for sale. My wife left, wanting to redesign our full house, their work was so good. Go, enjoy.

Best cooking experience! Enjoyed cheese and wine as we cooked. Made pesto pasta, beef stew and panna cotta with strawberry puree. Yum!

This place has really stunned me! It's one of the most amazing culinary experiences I have ever had, in a place that is so unusual - totally out of this world. They are big on organizing events & catering. Their location is so homy, so unique, so involving. FOOD IS TRULY EXCEPTIONAL! Service is great!

Desinare was a delight. It was our first foray into the other side of the Arno and we were rewarded with a unique, unforgettable experience, courtesy of world-class chef Arturo and manager extraordinaire Adele. It remains the fondest memory of our last visit to Florence -- one we are eager to repeat. Visit the shop, enjoy the craftsmanship, take the cooking class, strike up a conversation. You will not be disappointed.

My partner and I have just returned from a most exiting and memorable experience in Florence. Cooking is our passion and we have attended cookery classes in many parts of the world. But this takes the first price by far. With the help of one of the three partner Alessandro Grassi we were provided a cookery class at Desinare that is the best I have attended. First; it is not only a cookery class. The company employs both carpenters and craftsmen with many talents as well as very experienced chefs. Desinare is a true experience in the art of Italian living at its best. Desinare has in a most exclusive way built an environment in an old large two storey property that combines contemporary art and unique craftsmanship with a culinary experience. The originator Riccardo Barthel who expertly presented his creation collects antique and semi antique furniture, water taps and other plumbing effects and then the craftsmen refurbish them into pieces of furniture and decoration that are sold at the shop exhibition. All this is combined into a holistic experience with the cookery school that is on the second floor of the compound. The kitchen is one of the most well equipped and modern I have seen. Our private cookery class was run by two Italian chefs, Maria Valiani and Arturo Dori. The chefs presented a list of typical Italian dishes allowing us to choose for each day a menu' of our choice. and at the end of each day we enjoyed our cooking with wonderful Tuscany wines. We returned home with printed menus of all the dishes we prepared and I have already tested a few of them at my kitchen. If I sound enthusiastic it is because I am truly quite lyrical about this experience.
