Florentia, as it was called by Latins, is permeated by an eternal beauty spread in all corners of the city. The historic center is characterized by the immensity of the Duomo, able to transport tourists into the brightest age of Florence: the Renaissance. Who does not know the Brunelleschi Dome, San Giovanni Baptistery and the Giotto’s Campanile? Everything is enclosed here and it would be easy to imagine the city as it was in ancient times, with maids walking in the main square and horses carrying coaches. Nowadays, roads are busy with street artists. Rustic Tuscan bakeries give way to fashion shops; just stop for a few minutes in the middle of Piazza della Repubblica to enjoy the colors and sweet melody of the carousel that will bring back great memories from anyone’s childhood.

They will personalize a large variety of items on the spot. The young man was so helpful in helping us choose items for our friends back home. He helped us with personalization ideas. He was able to personalize the aprons, towels, etc that we purchased within minutes. They were done perfectly. He was also able to personalize an item in another language (Greek)! Love this shop!!!

I saw one of these shops in San Gimignano and we didn’t have time for me to purchase the gift I wanted so finding this one today was fabulous.
The staff very helpful fast and efficient...I’m one very happy customer!

This is a great spot next to the Duomo. I thought it was a tourist trap, and I guess it is. But it is a worthwhile one. These are great gifts for anyone. And I’m not lying when I say we did our Christmas shopping on January 2. They hand embroider everything in seconds while you wait. I don’t think a computer and a high-tech swing machine could do it any faster.

Upon entering the shop I was amazed to see sewing of names and pictures; a chef’s hat was sewn on the spot and complex calligraphy along with doodles were sewn on expertly and quickly by the staff. I was amazed by the skill and possibilities.
I was about ready to spend the most I’ve spent on holiday on gifts for friends and family. I thought I could even get and apron for myself that linked with school when I teach phonics! A place to put all of my resource!
I asked, “Would you be able to do a simple picture of a pencil?”
I was abruptly told, “No, no pictures, names only.”
My eyes glazed over and I looked around the room at the pictures that I had just seen replicated on the machine by the staff before my own eyes that were similarly simple as a cartoon pencil ✏️ as simple as a chef’s hat 👩🏾🍳 🎩 , flower 🌸or heart 💗 and I thought perhaps something was lost in translation.
Upon seeing my face she shook her head further and she pointed at all the complicated calligraphy, flowers and hearts and said, “These pictures, a flower, a heart yes but no pencil.”
Proceeding to amend any misunderstanding of what I meant by pencil I showed a simple cartoon picture and she shook her head again and said more abruptly, “no.”
I carefully folded the apron I was about to buy for myself and placed it carefully back in the pile a bit upset by the lack of explanation or salesmanship that I had expected to receive in a store that boasts customisation as it’s main attribute. The woman then proceeded to remove the apron and refill it for a lengthy amount of time glaringly annoyed.
The other items I would have bought would have been multiple and simplistic; however I was so flabbergasted by the lack of customer service my enthusiasm for their business deflated.
Then my partner approached one of the other “master” seamstresses we had seen at work that was sat at a machine at the front of the store (that hadn’t been rude to us) to personalise a baby clothes piece and he said, “No, see them.” The other staff had a queue and he was doing little else but sitting there.
Upon that last shot of poor service I suggested we leave.
Either they can only do the alphabet and two pictures which means they aren’t as skillful as they appear; or they lack the motivation for attempting anything outside of this small spectrum.
Either way the manner in which it was dealt with was poor and not becoming of a business that specialises in customisation.

The store caught my eye immediately with its display of lovely, personalized items. We had just gotten news the night before that a friend had given birth to a baby boy. I saw the bibs, blankets, little robes, stuffed animals, etc., that could be monogrammed in less than a minute! Perfect and perfect timing to bring a customized baby gift back from Italy!
I selected a bib and a little bear. I thought the name on one of the items was a little bit crammed and I told the very nice man that in so many words, and he said no problem and he pulled a thread and removed the entire name in 10 seconds. He then resewed the name a little more evenly.
The gifts were not expensive. I think €9 for the bib and €15 for the teddy bear. There are lots of other items such as aprons, hand towels, etc. that would make great personalized gifts to bring back home from Italy as well.
The man who runs the store is very nice. I was in and out of that store in five minutes! Highly recommend.

I just stumbled upon this cute store and was greatly impressed at the their items to buy. The two people sewing were amazing and so talented. The prices were good and I am so happy it is all made in Italy! Great store for a personalized gift! Well recommended. It is close to Hotel Pendini and on the way to the Duomo! Went twice to this store when we were in Florence!

My husband and I were browsing in Venice for some souvenirs and everything so generic. Then we came across this stand where they custom sew names onto different things. I bought three bibs for my nieces and my husband bought a chef hat for his father. Everyone loved the souvenirs. Both of the men working there were very friendly!

I was delighted with the practice of the property owner in embroidery, beautiful children's pieces, babads, towels, bags, dresses, congratulations!
