Horseback riding was great. Our guide took us about 45 minutes outside of Florence to a ranch called Crazy Horse. With a name like that I knew it was gonna be fun. The Riders were all very professional and showed us all how to properly ride. My horses name was 'Delpho' and he was well trained to know how to handle an inexperienced rider such as myself. Once we were on our way to the winery the guide from Crazy Horse began telling us interesting facts about the surrounding countryside. Luckily for me i was riding just ahead of her so I could hear. My wife who was riding ahead of me said she couldn't really hear her too well. She didn't mind though the scenery was beautiful. I would easily recommend this excursion to anyone looking for something a little adventurous.

We met with our guide in Florence at 8:30 am, we had a smaller group this day and we were able to leave a little early. There was about a half hour traveling in a car and we arrived at the Crazy Horse ranch to meet our horses. Our guide was quite funny and had a lot of really good stories about the area. He gave us photo ops at the good spots. Once we got on our horses, I had Romeo and my wife had Georgia, we spent a nice guided hike up through the vineyards and olive groves. Took a little bit to get everyone used to their horses but it was quite a fun time. Once we got to the top of the hillside, we were met at Torre A Cona winery. We were given a tour of their facilities and then had a wine tasting with some amazing chianti and a side of very nice olive oils. They do have a small store and you can buy the wine and olive oils to take home. We had another 30 mins ride by car to get to the next vineyard. Diadema winery. We walked the grounds and then settled in for a nice lunch overlooking the valleys with all the olive trees and vineyards. Excellent wine and the food was very yummy.

First let me say I am typically not a big fan of tours but this one totally amazed me. From the minute we arrived, we were greeted by our guide who was on top of every detail. There were so many extra things he added. Stopping for pictures and many other surprises added to the experience made it truly more than 5+ stars. Adele our guide walked with my wife the entire horse ride to make sure that she was stable on the horse, as she has only one leg. This was no easy walk as it was probably 3km up and down very beautiful terrain through the vineyards and through the woods. Beautiful scenery, great wine and food, and hospitality off the charts!!! If you are wanting a one-day experience of horse riding, wineries, great food, great sightseeing and great hospitality look no further book this one you will not be disappointed!
