Olivia really helped to make our trip to Florence amazing. As we were visiting in the off-season, we were lucky enough to be the only two on the tour. The tour included seven stops, with a nice mix of well known 'must have' foods of the region, but it also allowed us to try some of the local delicacies we had never heard of - such as Lampredotto (I thought it was delicious; my partner agreed in principle, if not in practice). It was clear that in designing the route that every stop was treated with care. Each stop provided a different taste of Florence, each morsel was delicious, and each location offered a different insight into the world of Florence. This is something that we really both valued. Yes, it was named a food tour. But it could also be described as a tour framed around food. We learned about the culture, about the history of the city and the history of the foods and the people. In other words, the tour allowed us to nerd out about history whilst eating. Livin' the dream. And on top of it all, Olivia, being a fantastic guide, put up with our constant questioning, messy eating, and travel-lagged rambling. So don't worry if you manage to get sugar everywhere, she'll be very understanding if you find yourself totally incapable of eating a pastry. Next time we're in Tuscany (which we hope is soon) we will 100% be booking another tour. For now, though, I'll just have to figure out where to get Lampredotto and decent salami in Canada. We've been spoiled.

Before my wife and I made our first ever trip to Italy in January, we had researched food tours as a way to introduce us to the city and to the food. We landed on Angela and Olivia's food tour based on their great reviews...and we were not disappointed! Upon our first morning in Florence, we met Olivia and walked a few blocks to our first stop for espresso and pastries. The stops continued for hours--all off the beaten path--while at each stop Olivia expounded on the history of the particular food we were enjoying and its importance to Tuscan culture. Along our journey, she also provided insights about architecture and the city itself. When our time concluded, our stomachs were full of good food and our knowledge increased. Mangia bene!

What a wonderful time my partner and I had on this food tour with Olivia. We were guided through the culinary day from breakfast; pastry and coffee, cold meats, breads, wine, olive oil for brunch, then onto local market for lunch followed by street food and ending up with pudding; gelato of course! If in Florence please take the time to book this tour, we thoroughly recommend it. In return Olivia was taught all things relating to the growing and eating of broccoli. Good luck with the olive grove!

My husband and I were fortunate to be the only two people on this tour with Angela. It was amazing! Angela took us to authentic Florence foodie haunts and we had the best morning. Angela is passionate about her city and is very knowledgable as to where the food originates from and also knows so much about architecture, mart and the history of Florence and, for that matter, the whole of Italy. From coffee, to cheese, to offal, to cold cuts, to olive oil, to wine, gelato and so much more, this tour is well worth it. If we are fortunate enough to return to Florence, we would definitely go with this experience again. Thank you so much Angela.

We have used Olivia last year on a day tour to Florence which was brilliant and it was through her advice that we returned and made a week stay in Chianti..We are with friends who have never been so we turned to Olivia as to what to do and she recommended the food tour and then a city tour we got the best of both worlds Olivia in the morning and Angela in the afternoon..We loved the food tour it was just something so different and interesting starting with an Italian breakfast and ending with expresso in between so much tastings of Florentine meats cheeses breads local Trattoria foods and even Tripe(Lamperdotto) which we all enjoyed. The visit to the wine and Olive oil shop was also a treat and learned a lot about olive oil the gradings and useage. An hour break and we met Angela who took us to local museums the Medici chapel statue of David and just a wealth of good info we loved Angela as well she was really good with her explanations and her knowledge was outstanding..Either of these are worth doing and come highly recommended you only have to look at other comments..Thank you Angela and Olivia
