Drive a Ferrari 2+2 seats around Florence accompanied by a personal driving TUTOR who will guide you throughout the tour sitting next to you. The TEST DRIVE leaves from the Piazzale Galileo in Viale Galileo Galilei Florence, and takes you on a journey through the beautiful hills surrounding Florence. You choose how far you would like to drive by selecting the option that best suits your needs. You can preserve the memory of this unique driving experience on film and share it with your family and friends. RESERVATION REQUIRED. In order to maintain maximum safety conditions, test-drives will not be held during rainy weather. The Ferrari has fully comprehensive insurance cover with an excess of € 5.000 (Euros five thousand). This means that should the car be damaged or be in an accident where the driver is AT FAULT, the driver will be responsible for covering the excess cost of € 5.000. ** Due to COVID-19 we don't carry out the activity to guarantee the safety of Clients and Employees**

I paid for my son to drive, and he loved it.
As the person who paid, I noticed that it was not a 10 minute drive. It might be 10 minutes in the car, counting photos and instruction. My son was blocked from leaving the parking lot by a bus, so I would guess the tires actually turned for about 6 minutes.
I timed the drive of the people who drove before him at 7 minutes.
If someone wants to ride in the back seat, you pay an extra 20 euro. If you want a video, you pay extra...I think 20 euro. We didn't go for any extras.
Just calibrate your expectations on actual drive time and you will be fine. If he had driven for 10 minutes I would have given it the higher rating.

If you like your heart racing, and adrenaline pumping, then you Must drive a Ferrari here! I drive a amazing Ferrari here in Florence, and it was the absolutely most amazing experience of my life! I drove an hour through the Italian country side with the top down. The price was very affordable and less than I thought it would be. My Co pilot was very cool and enjoyed talking to him about cars. This was a dream come true to drive a Ferrari in Italy, still get chills thinking about it. You absolutely must go to Michelangelo Piazzale and drive one of theses amazing dream machines!

We had two couples who drove the Ferrari 458 Spider and the Ferrari California through the hills of Tuscany for the day! Simona and her wonderful staff had arranged a fantastic adventure with brunch at a delightful outdoor restaurant in a charming piazza, then off again in the iconic Italian prancing ponies with her driver in their vehicle leading us on a scenic and exciting tour. Stopped at a castle/winery for a fabulous lunch and a tour of the winery, and then another great stretch of roads through the beautiful Chianti countryside with the satisfying rumble of the Ferraris as our constant companion. The cars, the scenery, and sharing it all with my wife and our good friends. It was a magical day! Thank you Simona and your entire crew!

Well, driving a Ferrari is great, but driving it slowly, in traffic, behind a scooter or a slow moving vehicle is not that fun. The price is high, wich is understandable, but you are not allowed to do anything that you are not able to do with your own car.

We ordered up a ferrari ride for two couples to a castle which was to include dinner. I made it clear our wives would sit up front and they agreed but when we signed the contract, paid and got in the car, the rules quickly changed and this is where it went downhill. The guy said im going to take your picture and then your wife can get in the back seat. I said no, thats not happening, you sit in the back, its already agreed upon. It turned ugly quickly with these guys and they started threatening us and it almost came to a fist fight before i said again, just refund our money, you just rented the cars right in front of us.. they refunded my friends money then claimed they couldn't refund another transaction due to a system issue but they would the next day and they said to call my bank and dispute it. We never went on a ride, we were threatened by two or three guys about leaving and we wouldn't get our money. This was by far our worst memory of italy and they're still lying and cheating to keep my money - if you guys would have done the right thing, i would have left a much better review. I must tell everyone to beware of this company. Be sure you know up front they expect you to sit in the back seat of a ferrari you just rented and be sure you know they will lie cheat and steal to keep your money and not deliver.

TestDriveFirenze, offers a service of Ferrari test-drive, which means obviously that the Customer drives with one of our Tutors necessarily at his/her side.
Our company DOLCE V-ITALY SRL has never authorized and will never authorize any passengers to be seated in front in the place of our Tutor. All our publicity, flyers, e-mails (including those to this reviewer) clearly indicate this. We explicitly state this in FAQ 19 on our site: “Can someone sit next to me while I carry out the test drive? The seat next to the person carrying out the test drive is always occupied by one of our tutors. Should you choose to test drive the Ferrari California T, up to two extra guests may sit in the back.”
With TestDriveFirenze, the Customer drives a Ferrari (he does not sit in back!) on a previously agreed upon route which the Customer chooses from several possibilities, and always with our Tutor sitting next to him/her.
Any other passenger sits, naturally, in back; otherwise the Customer could not drive and our Tutor could not play his own role of guaranteeing the safety of the driving.
Any one wishing to drive a Ferrari seated next to someone else and without a Tutor must opt for the other option, the rental, which has a higher price and a security deposit.
If the reviewer had doubts he could have taken advantage of our Cancellation Policy which states “if you cancel at least 7 days in advance of the scheduled departure, there is no cancellation fee”.
Our priority is customer safety and satisfaction. Transparency is our goal. We much regret this misunderstanding.

My co-driver was Antonio and I have nothing but the very very best words for him; helpful, nice, the kind of guy understands that for the vast majority this is something of a dream come true. I Drove a Ferrari California; 10 minutes cost 55 euros plus 20 for the micro-SD with the GoPro onboard footage. Present from my wife. Absolutely stunning - even for those 10 minutes. The road around Piazzale Michelangiolo winds and bends, so it's rewarding even with the traffic. Careful, ten minutes doesn't mean you can dash like crazy - your co-driver explains that it's a relative amount of time, covers about 4-5 km and you do have to respect traffic regulations. That being said, it's absolutely worth it (I did rally racing in my time, still do when I can as a co-driver, I know what I'm saying), even if, like me, you can't afford 20 mins or more . Again, would definitely recommend Antonio, seek him out if you can. I also plan to look for the mother company, dolcev-italy.com, throughout the country if I can find them. DO NOT MISS THIS!!

After visiting many museums and cathedrals, it was fab to find something different to do in Florence. I drove the red Ferrari (not the convertible) so my husband could sit in the back. We paid 55 Euros for 10 minutes, plus 25 Euros for the video recording of me driving on an SD card. It's on a wide public road. We had fun and the time was enough for me. It wasn't a fast drive but when I did a 'U-turn' I put my foot down and went from 0-50km very quickly and loved hearing the roar. Also, the guy from the company (who was in the front with me) took loads of photos for us (of us inside the car posing) at the end which was a lovely touch... Plus, telling everyone back home I drove a Ferrari gave me an amazing feeling!!

My wife and I each opted for the 12km Tunnel test drive. 30mins goes very quickly when you are having fun. The car we drove was a 2017 Red Ferrari California T. After getting through the online paper work, our guide Antonio attached a Go-Pro to the back of the car to record our drive which is available for purchase and I’m guessing for insurance purposes as well, in case anything happened.
Our guide Antonio was great. He took the time to explain the basic features of the car, was very chilled and found us opportunities to safely open the trottle of the Ferrari California T. There was a little bit of traffic heading to the tunnel however, once you got to the tunnel, you had the opportunity to hear the wonderful sound of the V8 turbo kick in while accelerating from one end of the tunnel to the other.
It was a lot of fun and we would definitely recommend opting for a longer test drive if you have the time.

We went to Florence as part of our honeymoon trip to Europe. I found Firenze in Ferrari via Trip Advisor and decided to treat my new husband to a 20 minute drive. I'd like to say that day I was the one who had him glowing and smiling ear to ear, but alas it was the red Ferrari.
Easily one of his highlights of our trip. The guide is super friendly, speaks English fluently. We waited about 20 minutes before he could drive, but it's right in Piazza de Michelangelo so you have plenty to enjoy while you wait.
If you are into cars, this is a no-brainer.

It depends from how many km do you wish to drive. Usually in the month of March the last time slot is at around 6:00pm but, if you can, please choose a time before 4:30pm so you are sure to avoid traffic.

Booking and purchasing the test drive by our website it allows you to choose a Christmas or a generic Gift card that we will send to you by email within 24 Hours. On the date of your test drive you will be required to sign a rental contract with our rental company.
The Ferrari which is rented to you has fully comprehensive insurance cover with an excess of € 5.000 (Euros five thousand). This means that should the car be damaged or be in an accident where the driver is AT FAULT, the driver or his guarantor will be responsible for covering the excess cost of damaged corresponding to € 5.000, in addition to the daily cost of lost business during the time in which the car is repaired.

As you can read on our website at FAQ 17, all our tutors have an excellent knowledge of the Italian and English languages. Unfortunately they don't speak Spanish but we have so many Spanish Clients and in Italian they understand the same well.

From what I can tell...how fast a costumer can/is allowed to go depends on the traffic at the time of the test drive, since the test drive is throughout Florence itself.
If I were to schedule a test drive at the earliest time possible, would traffic at that time still prevent me from being able to really "scoot it"? Haha I'm not necessarily looking to drive like "Fast and Furious" (unless allowed :) , but I don't want to pay to test drive a Ferrari if there's no guarantee that I can't experience (to some degree) its capabilities.
Also, would I be allowed to record with my own GoPro and equipment?

8. What is the speed limit on Italian roads?
The various speed limits of the different types of roads are indicated on speed signs as specified by the Italian national Highway Code.
13. Do the test drives take place on a racetrack or on normal roads?
The test drives take place on the roads of the hills above Florence. Test drives do NOT take place EITHER on a racetrack OR on the motorway/highway. Test drives are not a race, but rather an educational skill-learning experience and therefore all speed limits must be respected.
23. Can I film my Ferrari experience with my GoPro video camera?
No. Should you like to have a video of your experience, we have our own GoPro video camera attached to the car. The cost is € 20,00. The footage of your experience is saved on a 4GB or 8GB Micro SD.
The best time is usually lunchtime (12:30pm-3:30pm).
