My luggage was lost by Alitalia so, after waiting 2 days, I visited COIN to purchase a few things to get by. When we returned we found the luggage was waiting so I tried to return the items. They were very rude and told me that no store in Italy accepted returns and would only give me store credit. I... More

Quite a nice shop located on the high street. Reminded us of a department store in the Uk. Has its own beauticians. as well as men and women's clothes departments. Quite a big handbag dept which appealed to the wife. This is ideal as stores go if you want a change from restaurants, tourist shops and want a taste of... More

I was on business in Florence for 6 weeks and, as a consequence, needed a few household items. Such things turned out to be hard to find in Florence, except for the Coin. The staff were friendly and the Coin has an extensive line of many different products: household items, toiletries, clothes, makeup, jewelry, etc. The only issue were the... More

We were in the Coin store in Rome to buy some jewelry for my wife but they made no effort to help us in English. She had money to spend but it seemed they really didn't want our money.

I traveled from Minneapolis to Italy, and my luggage was lost. I'm a plus size woman. The clerks in the store were so understanding and helpful. I also found that the plus size clothing I purchased there fits me better than any I have found in the States. I want to shop Coin online, but I think I'll have to... More

Coin has the best prices on top fashions and the newest trends .wish I found it earlier in my visit . Forget the ripoff vendors in the street. You can find great deals in a beautiful atmosphere ,

We popped into Coin on one of our Florence trips having been there a number of times before. The shop is clean, friendly and has a wide range of items for both men and women. My mother bought a lovely pashmina/shawl at an excellent price, I bought some Hermes aftershaves at about a 25% saving on UK prices and my... More

Coin was like a cross between the clutter of Debenhams and the disorganization of House of Failure. (oops, I mean Fraser!). La Rinascente was much better, and had a lovely cafe on the roof, with stunning views!

We found tons brand name clothes and watches for a fraction of their regular price!! I loved it! It's like a higher end "winners"/department store, I hope to go back soon!

Essentially COIN appeared to be an Italian version of a John Lewis styled department store. There was a good selection of brands for males, females, children and households. I didn't notice any particular savings to be had and the prices were very average. I wouldn't make a special visit, but it's a good string in your bow if you need... More

Staying in Duomo

Neighborhood Profile
Florentia, as it was called by Latins, is permeated by an eternal beauty spread in all corners of the city. The historic center is characterized by the immensity of the Duomo, able to transport tourists into the brightest age of Florence: the Renaissance. Who does not know the Brunelleschi Dome, San Giovanni Baptistery and the Giotto’s Campanile? Everything is enclosed here and it would be easy to imagine the city as it was in ancient times, with maids walking in the main square and horses carrying coaches. Nowadays, roads are busy with street artists. Rustic Tuscan bakeries give way to fashion shops; just stop for a few minutes in the middle of Piazza della Repubblica to enjoy the colors and sweet melody of the carousel that will bring back great memories from anyone’s childhood.
