The Dan Brown INFERNO tour was excellent. Having just completed the book, I felt fortunate to stumble upon the tour via an internet search for other tours. I booked rather late but still received excellent information and treatment from the company. I was kept well informed and, when there was a meeting time change, was apprised of it immediately. The only problem I had was finding the exact starting point.
Although I took the right bus and got off at the right stop, I didn't quite realize I had to go through the Porto Romano gate and turn left to the Boboli Gardens entrance. This was probably because I hadn't thoroughly read the information given but I would suggest that the guide make a few circuits from the gate to the bus stop just to be sure everyone is collected. Fortunately I found the meeting point in plenty of time
It turned out the group consisted of me and an couple from Britain but our guide, (please insert her name as I failed to write it down) treated our small group as if it was a much larger one. Being a small group, we were able to move a bit faster which suite us fine. Our guide was very knowledgeable of both the book and the history of Florence and, although I've been to Florence many times and also teach history, I still learned a few things I hadn't known. The day started very foggy and the walk through the Boboli Gardens was, pardon the pun, atmospheric to say the least. The gardens were deserted and we had a strenuous and very pleasant walk.
I especially enjoyed the "back stage" tour of the Palazzo Vecchio and the rooms not normally available to tourists. All in all, the tour was a bit expensive but the personal touch and the unique insights made it well worth the cost. For fans of the book and for people wanting something a bit different in their search for Florence, I certainly recommend this tour.

We were not lucky with the weather - a gray, gloomy, rainy day, but Cecilia, our guide, made it outstanding. She has not only imparted her impressive knowledge of history with us, but also showed us local delicacies (Lamredotto) and hidden treasures of Florence.
I do recommend this tour to anyone who is visiting Florence, Dan Brown fan or not, as neither of the guide books would show the places the tour took us to.

I booked this tour for my husband and I given that we were big fans of Dan Brown's Inferno. This tour did not disappoint. Beatrice was phenomenal. Her knowledge of the book and history of Florence was extensive. We learned so much from her. She was personable, gracious, kind and funny. I would highly, highly recommend doing this tour while you are in Florence. I promise it will be a highlight of your trip!

Our tour guide was Viola. She was fantastic. As one would expect on this tour, she essentially walked us through the book as we walked along Florence. She also gave great history lessons and really explained everything we were seeing. Perhaps the best part about her was how enthusiastic and excited she was to teach us and share information about everything we came across. She made the tour so much fun and I learned quite a bit. I had been to Florence in the past but never learned this much. It had been years since I read the book so its not a necessity for the tour. While everything relates to the story, it really goes beyond. I highly recommend this tour and especially Viola!

Let me start by yang that our guide Beatrice was definitely 5 star. This was a fun day and very interesting. We booked through Get Your Guide and I think that the information was very misleading. We paid over $200.00 for this tour and still had to pay all admissions amounting to another $100.00 or so. If you decide to book this tour, be sure to read the fine print.

My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our 4 hour "private tour" with Mariagrazia, a great guide with Florence Inferno. We were lucky to be the only people on the tour and learned so much along the way. Mariagrazia pointed out the highlights of the Dan Brown story and Florence, in general. We especially loved walking through the Boboli Gardens and the Palazzo Vecchio and ended our day at the Duomo area. Well worth the time and expense for this different look at Florence!

My wife and I really really recommend you to do this tour! Viola, our tour guide, was so very knowledgeable about Florence's history, and was so helpful in thoroughly answering all of our questions! Thank you Viola!
It's not just a tour where you visit the points of interest from Dan Brown's 'Inferno', but is also an overview of the history of this beautiful city. You'll follow the steps of Robert Langdon beginning at Porta Romana and Boboli Gardens, and continue through Florence until you reach Santa Maria Novella, the main station where he departs for Venice, learning so much along the way.
Throughout the tour (which lasts, including a lunch break approx. 7 hours) you'll hear about the 'mistakes' and 'artistic licence' in the book, and all about the families of notable interest down through the history of Florence itself.
I cannot speak for the other guides but if you get Viola you're in for a treat. Again, we cannot recommend this tour enough!

We booked the Florence Dan Brown tour a week before we were there. It is quite expensive but other reviewers said it was worth it and they were right! Thank you Maria for a wonderful day out. We were a small group of 6 and our guide and an interesting and friendly mix of nationalities. You are taken through Florence to the places Dan Brown uses in Inferno. The guide tells you all about the history of the places as well as their link in the book. It is a great way of seeing Different parts of Florence. We loved the Boboli gardens which we otherwise probably would not have visited.and also the private rooms and passageway in the Palazzo Vecchio. We recommend you get the Florence card as you will find yourself visiting most of the main museums, galleries and palaces.

I absolutely loved the Inferno tour! Our guide Cecilia was an absolute gem - she knew her stuff, she was very engaging and made us all feel at ease. I was travelling on my own and I felt entirely comfortable with our small group. Yes, it's a bit of a pain shelling out admission tickets on top of the tour price but the tour itself and the quality of our guide was well worth the cost! We were only a group of about 6 so it felt like we had a personal tour of the city! My personal highlight was the visit to the Palazzo Vecchio and the hidden rooms and passageways. A great tour to take when you're in Florence, whether you're a Dan Brown fan or not!

Does the Inferno tour have access to the Secret Passages of the Palazzo Vecchio on all weekdays? And what about the Vasari Corridor - is this part of the tour? Thanks.

Est-ce que la visite se fait également en français ? Sur quel site la réserver ?

Would this tour be appropriate for someone who has a disability and walks using a cane for assistance? We could also bring a wheelchair if this is advised. Thank you
Written January 7, 2018
Yes, of course! The most difficult part is Boboli Gardens, but we hade several customers with cane and/or wheelchair. Just book at least 3/4 weeks in advance and specify when you book, so we can arrange everything perfectly. Best wishes, Tatiana

Does the Florence Inferno Tour go inside the Duomo or should I book a seperate tour for this??
Thankyou
Written February 9, 2017
Hi Adelaide, the Florence Inferno Tour doesn't go inside the Duomo, but you can visit the Duomo on your own as it is a perfect attraction for self-guided tours. Best wishes
Written February 9, 2017
i was just wondering if the vasari corridor above the ponte vecchio was included in this tour?
thanks for your help , G
Written November 27, 2016
Hi G.,
Thank you for writing.
The Vasari Corridor is currently closed (probably until 2018) and anyway it was not included in our regular tour (it was included just in our private tours).
Best wishes,
Tatiana

Há opção do tour em português? Onde é o ponto de encontro e valores?

Hi!
I want to book this tour for June 2016 and I was wondering if the Palazzo Vecchio secret passage tour is as thorough as the ones offered on their official website? Meaning are we going to cover everything? And will the tour be going into the Pitti Palace? I understand that we are going through the Boboli Gardens but no mention of Pitti palace as such.
Grazie!
Written March 23, 2016
Hi, Thank you for writing! The Palazzo Vecchio secret passages tour includes the 'Secret passages' itinerary or the 'Tour of the Palace' itinerary or the 'Places of Inferno' itinerary. In any case you have one or more secret passages and each itinerary is very special and nice :) During the tour you do not enter Pitti Palace, as you walk through the Boboli Gardens (you see just the external parts and the courtyards of the Pitti Palace).
Written March 23, 2016
Hi. Who did you book the tour with, how much did it cost and how long was it. Were there any extra charges such as entry to the places you which places did you actually gain entry into. We will be going in October 2015 and want to get the best value for money.
Thank you
Barbara
