Shopping here in Florence can be overwhelming! I design personal shopping for tourists and guide them to the great little stores that I love. Many people have only a little time to shop here, and with my help, we can accomplish lots in a short amount of time. We can usually complete the shopping list in 2 hours, but serious shoppers can schedule for more time. Whether it be leather jackets, handbags, shoes, gold, ceramics, scarves, or wine/olive oil, I can save you time with a shopping appointment tailored just for you. My groups are private, only you and your friends or family. I do not take people to the brand name stores, or to the discount malls, only the smaller shops with the owners on site. High quality without the designer label and price! With all of the imitation products flooding the markets, rest assured that I will show you the real Italian artisan made goods. I am also available to do a market food and wine tour away from the tourist crowds with a lunch following.

If you are looking for something specific and want a good price/quality ratio, contact Maren! She knows the shopping terrain so well, and has such congenial relationships with the personnel that she removes searching and doubt from the equation. Shopkeepers know and obviously like Maren, and this goodwill extends to her clients, who receive not only friendly, serious, unhurried attention and expertise, but also the sense of mutual exchange and appreciation. Being with Maren turned our brief shopping afternoon into a rich, seamless cultural experience, quite apart from the wonderful boots I found in no time at the first shop we visited, and the made-to-measure shirt that will arrive at my home in a few weeks. My afternoon with her will be a permanent happy memory.

Maren, it the best! I been to Florence 4 times and found Maren on Trip Advisor. I read her reviews and emailed her immediately! I have now been with Maren in Florence on 3 occasion and just returned from another wonder trip to Florence. My friends and I love Maren because she is very down to earth and finds us every special item at a much better price from shoes to leather coats and jewelry! I keep in touch with Maren and let her know every time I return to Florence. She is a terrific person and we have created a wonderful friendship! I highly recommend Maren if you are going to Florence!!

I was hesitant to use a personal shopper in Florence. After all, was she going to take me to all those places where the cruises send you? THE ANSWER IS NO. Maren asked me what I wanted to shop for - jewelry? leather? vintage? She had places to take you no matter what you wanted and no matter what your budget! I am so thrilled with my purchases. I bought a leather coat that is unlike any coat I have ever seen in the US. But, best of all, she's honest about what works for you and what doesn't. I felt like I was shopping with my judgemental sister (LOL) but in a good way. Unless it was fabulous, it was a no-go. The coat needed the sleeves shortened. And, being a pretty good sewer, I knew that it was going to be a difficult job because of the design of the sleeve. Not only did she tell them exactly how much to shorten but she made sure that it would be delivered to my hotel that night after they closed. And, they did! It was perfect and wrapped so beautifully for travel. The jewelry place was amazing. It was actually a wholesaler (up 2 flights) who had stores throughout Italy. Gorgeous and reasonable for what you got. And, a vintage store! They had vintage handbags from the 1990's from Gucci, Prada, etc. I spent 2 hours with her and it was really a highlight of my trip. She is a lovely and classy woman who speaks both English and Italian fluently. Book her early if you're interested. From what I understood, she doesn't do this full-time. Her pricing, I think is reasonable. Tell her Jackie says, "hi"

I met with Maren when I was in Florence pre-pandemic and had a wonderful day. It’s been several years and she is still just as wonderful. I am in NYC and she has helped me with jewelry purchases. Each piece was custom and turned out lovely. She is a lot of fun to shop with even long distance!! Maren helps bring Florence to me in this time where I am still not ready to fully embrace international travel. For those visiting Florence—lucky you. You will have an amazing experience with her.

Maren is wonderful! She takes you to the best shops that you would never find on your own! This is the second time I have worked with her. She is professional and a pleasure to be with! We had such a good time finding treasures with Maren. She took several of us on our girls trip to find the right shoes, jewelry, scarves, stationary! Would highly recommend her!

My SIL and I love Italy and decided to find a personal shopper for our recent trip to Florence. Enter Maren and her sweet little sidekick Chia (toy pomeranian), who quite truthfully stole the show! If you are looking to shop in the designer high end shops, this service isn't for you. If you want to shop in the unique boutiques and specialty shops, then Maren and Chia, who are fluent in Italian (yes, Chia too!) are the way to go!

We had just two hours to spare and were completely unfamiliar with the shopping landscape in Firenze. The variety and quality of what is available is legendary - and there are SO many options for sources. We did what any savvy shopper SHOULD do - turn to an EXPERT!! Maren knows exactly where to take you for what you are looking for. She collects your "shopping list" in advance and, when you meet, she is prepared to escort you to the best places for the best selection of the best quality materials - at excellent prices (of course)! We shopped for gold jewelry and leather coats. In two hours, we left with just what we were hoping for. Thanks Maren!!

I had the most wonderful time shopping with Maren and Chia !
She knows the best places for high quality items ,offers excellent advice and has impeccable taste! I bought purses,ordered custom made shoes and boots,a suede coat and a few items of clothing .Maren is warm,welcoming ,friendly,fun and I hope we can remain friends! Can't wait to return!!

Florence is packed with leather shops and jewelry stores, not to mention shoe shops and fashion stores! I wanted to buy some Christmas gifts for my grandchildren and my children, and was overwhelmed with all of the choices. I contacted Florence Shop 4 It and was delighted to meet Maren and her little dog, Chia. She organized a shopping tour for me and in just 2 hours, we had purchased gifts for everyone on my list, plus a few goodies for myself! Maren knows the shopping scene in Florence, and which shops to avoid (pushy sales people, made in China goods, etc.). Plus, she has impeccable taste and really helps the decision making process in a gentle and helpful manner.
I have friends going to Florence in the spring, and I have suggested that they contact Florence Shop 4 It as well. Big family wedding in Tuscan countryside, and lots of shoppers!
One thing to consider is booking early, as Maren takes only a few people shopping each week.

What is the basis of your fee structure: by the hour, by the day by the purchase or some other way. Are you available between the 31st of March and April 4th? I read your fabulous revues.

We can usually accomplish all the shopping you might want to do in one session of 2 hours. My fee for this is 85 euro. This is for your group up to 4 people. Fee is not per person, but for the whold group. Additional hours are at the rate of 35 per hour.
