About Bus2Alps
In 2018, our 15th year, the Bus2alps Blue Crew began asking our guests, “What does Blue mean to you?” For 16 years, our mission has been to provide meaningful, impactful and empowering travel experiences to help students create life-long friendships and memories during their time abroad. For 16 years, Blue -- to us -- means family, and a continued commitment to safe, affordable and captivating student travel throughout Europe and North Africa. As travelers by nature -- both in and out of the office -- we have a deep understanding of what emboldens young adults to make the life-changing decision to explore the world through study abroad.

When I was studying abroad in Florence I booked multiple trips with Bus2Alps, my favorite being the weekend trip to the Amalfi Coast. The tour guides made the trip fun and stress free! Our days were full of activities planned by Bus2Alps but there was also plenty of time to do your own thing.

After recently studying abroad in Florence for a few weeks prior to being sent home due to COVID-19, Bus2Alps frequently harassed me and others in the city to sign up for their trips. They have also refused to refund us the full amount after canceling the trip to Amalfi because of COVID-19, claiming Swiss laws to swindle broke college kids out of hard earned money. They were very difficult to communicate with and rude in their communication, providing little to no explanation. When on their Interlaken trip, they were unorganized and provided us with the wrong assigned rooms, split our group up on the bus and were also difficult to work with. They advertised how cheap their trips are, but ended being very expensive unless you wanted to sit in your room. Please, please, do not spend your money with this company if you want to have a good time. You can plan the same trip for WAY less money, and have WAY more fun without this scam of a company. I will NEVER recommend this company to anyone.

Absolutely trash company. First, they have their employees target any American looking student on the street to advertise their company to. They try to become “friends” with you and sell their trips. My friend and I were studying in Florence this semester and we booked three trips at once because we would get a discount. We booked Interlaken, Budapest Vienna and Salzburg, and Croatia. It cost around $1000 and it didn’t include any activities. We went to Interlaken, which was great. Paragliding was super expensive but a cool experience. Hotel was trash. Bus ride was awful. Then coronavirus hit Italy hard during the week before we were supposed to head to Budapest. Because we were afraid we wouldn’t be able to re-enter the country because other countries were putting up travel restrictions, we chose not to go. They wouldn’t give us a refund. Our program got cancelled on the Friday and I left on Saturday. We got 25 euros refunded because the rest of the people who did go on the trip had to return early and didn’t use the hotel for one night (25 euros for a hotel night? Really?). Once we got home, we started looking into whether we could get a refund for our last trip to Croatia. Because we booked our trips together for a discount on my friends card, they would not speak to me about my trip. I contacted them multiple times to no response. I was finally told they would only speak to me with her written consent, which she gave, and they still refused to speak to me. They gave us a 30% refund on a trip we don’t even have the choice to go on because the government is preventing travel and forced us to come home, and have us nothing for the trip we missed while countries were closing borders. Their communication is horrendous and their policies are ridiculous. I am absolutely disgusted with the experience I had with this company. After all is said and done, I basically paid over $1000 for two and a half days in Switzerland at a terrible hotel with little to no guidance or interaction from the tour group. This company is an absolute scam. If you value your sanity and your enjoyment of studying abroad, don’t use Bus2Alps.

If you are abroad in a popular location they will harass you in the streets, on social media, even in the grocery store. Often times they won’t even remember that they’ve introduced themselves 5 times prior. You will be told that bus2alps is the best and that their trips are impossible to do without them. This is a bunch of BS. As most people are saying right now they aren’t even refunding for trips that they have fully cancelled and are unable to carry out. In what twisted world is that acceptable? I was hesitant to book with them and (thankfully) I only booked one trip but I should’ve listened to my gut instinct on this one and realized they were scamming us all along.

My friends and I all went on the Interlocken trip with Bus2Alps. Interlocken was beautiful, the skiing was incredible, our hotel was clean and accommodating but what we were impressed with most was the Hospitality and helpfulness of the Bus2Alps crew. Specifically, Gina and Allison were amazing to me and my friends. Not only did they help us navigate the skiing and trains but they also went above and beyond to give their favorite food and drink spots and Gina was even kind enough to walk my friends and I all the way to the lake from our hotel after we woke up late and missed the group.
