Via Cavour Firenze is a lovely street, for the most part. It is not very wide, but it is full of cafes, restaurants and a multitude of other shops, especially from about the area of Piazza San Marco and all the way to the Duomo. That part is very nice indeed. As you walk in the direction of Cattedrale di Santa Maria del Fiore (the Duomo) you can't help but look and keep your eyes on this beautiful sight; occasionally you look at the shops as well!

Cavour has everything: a big toy store that also sells model kits. Eataly has a new big store on this block, right next to Sephora. Also Frette is on the corner. Across the street are 2 antique book shops with all kinds of fabulous finds. This street leads directly in the Duomo. But if you walk up Cavour you will find hotels and cafes and even dress shops that all cater to the locals. I love this street. There is also a huge newsstand where you can purchase all the international newspapers.

Lovely way to see the old buildings of Florence as well as some beautiful street art. Make sure you stop and view the artists working on their paintings - some amazing art worth purchasing if you can fit it in your luggage.
Seems to be a very busy area but links well between the two areas - great location for taking photos as it looks over the river.
If you have time, pop into 'Pizze Covaccini' for a delicious pizza slice and a beer for only 5£!

This long street runs, in a general north/south direction, from Piazza della Liberta, past Piazza San Marco, Leonardo Museum and ends just one block from Piazza del Duomo at Palazzo Medici Riccardi.

Yes, this was a nice walk and definitely much quieter but it certainly doesn’t have the same kind of attractions as Centro Storico. However, you do need some quiet time after visiting these areas so I would recommend coming here after the busy piazzas.

Via Camillo Cavour (Via Cavour) is a major street linking Piazza Della Liberta, northeast of the city centre to the Historic City Centre of Florence. Created in 1861 and named after Italian statesman, Camillo Cavour, shortly after his death, this is a busy street that you might find yourself on at some point during your visit.

There are important tourist attractions found along and near Via Cavour. Our favourite is Museo San Marco. Nearby, visitors can find the fan favourite Galleria dell' Accademia, where you can see Michelangelo's statue of David. Nearer to the city centre, you will find Palazzo Medici Riccardi, followed by a host of Florence's impressive attractions.

In the end, from a visitor's perspective, this is not the most interesting of places in Florence but it is a functional route into the city centre and where you can find some very important attractions.

We did not stay at the Cavour, but we visited the rooftop bar for one the most outstanding views of Florence. Visitors must leave a passport at the front desk to ascend to the rooftop. The drinks were affordable for this type of venue. It was personal, intimate even, and a highlight of our evenings in Florence.

This is one of the busiest places in Florence, but the walk along it is really pleasant. It's worth because you say hello to people from all over the world and you take so many photos of the beautiful buildings around.
