Walking Tour: The Forbidden Florence

Discover with us a "secret and forbidden Florence" through the intriguing and curious stories of women and men, Madonnas and Gentlemen, who roamed the streets and alleys of Florence.

Delightful and “beautiful” stories of distinguished men.

Our journey, enlivened by gossip, anecdotes and stories, will end in one of the historic cafes in the city, in the enchanting setting of the Piazza della Signoria. Here you can taste a cocktail invented in Florence by Count Camillo Negroni, which still today bears his name . Cora with are brilliant historical background showed us and our 2 sons, 17 & 19 years old, the history from Florence from middle age up to 20th century, presented famous personalities of Florence, introduced us in the construction/decoration details of several buildings, showed us many little historical and other details of the city. Cora motivated our 2 boys in an excellent way, they were fascinated as we were. Best tour ever, I can highly recommend it!

We were extremely lucky to have Giacomo as our guide at the Uffizi Gallery this morning. We had early access and therefore were able to (mostly) dodge the crowds. Our tour guide, Giacomo was interesting, intelligent, and highly knowledgeable, making the experience so much richer and providing context to the many masterpieces on view. Highly recommend.

We loved her willingness to customize her tour to our taste and attention span! We have been to Florence several times and she made our experience unique. I admired her talent as an art historian as she blended her knowledge with the impact of art and history to the local times and culture. If she is not already committed, I would highly recommend you contact Lucia for an unforgettable tour.

My wife and I spent a day in Florence with Lucia. We did a walking tour of the Accademia, Museo dell'Opera del Duomo, the Duomo Bapistry and the Uffizi Gallery. Lucia's knowledge and passion of the art and architecture was inspiring. I learned so much and was so moved by the many masterpieces we were able to see so closely. Thank you, Lucia. This was a day I will always remember.
