Florence highlights day visit: engaging, energetic, full of context, history and excellent English! That’s Caterina.

We did a 5-6h tour of the Florence highlights with 2 adults and 2 adolescent boys. Caterina managed to walk us through the main attractions (cathedral, Uffizi and Accademia) at a good pace, offering history and context at every corner. She has a way of not just presenting facts but makes every statement extremely engaging and contextualised so that the information sits. Great educator and source of information. Excellent command of English.

Two-man trip through Florence, with Caterina.

I had a great time with Caterina, and via communication through mail we narrowed down her tour into specifically about Dante - as my request, and she even waited for me in the hotel lobby, as a help.
Was a fun 2 hours, where I learned plenty, and saw some amazing history and architecture. I also got to see many other things for a second time - and from the point of view of Dante. She also took several lines from the Divine Comedy that is plastered on plagues around town, found specific ones, and interprepated and translated them.
I also have many other questions that got answered, sometimes beyond off topic.
The tempo was easy and relaxing, and it was a nice and intimate 2-man trip, so we got to dig deep into this Florizian of Florizians, that is Dante.

Today we had a pleasure taking a perfect walking tour with amazing Caterina Barcucci.
Her knowledge of Florence is endless, her passion for the city strikes you from the start and her love for sharing this knowledge makes the tour unforgettable. At the end of the tour our group gave her a standing ovation, because she really deserved it.

Lovely sight seen tour Florence experience

We booked tour with Fedor to see the main historical attractions of Florence. Fedor guided us through the city and we enjoyed the tour till the last moment. He provided the information in a way that it was easy to understand and to follow for everyone, including teenagers.
Afterwards we decided to book another tour, to visit the Basilica di Santa Croce. We enjoyed it as much as the first one.

Knowledge licensed guide, passionate about sharing his knowledge with others
Tours are suitable for all ages
Adaptive to customer's request
Multi lingual
Helpful advice for visiting Florence

Wonderful experience

We did a general tour dedicated to Florence and it was absolutely wonderful! Caterina is a very talented guide that shared so many curious facts about the city, its history, architecture and famous families. She is very knowledgeable and it was a pleasure to walk around the city together discovering things that seem hidden from the first sight but tell centuries' long history. Caterina also shared tips on restaurants and typical dishes to try, it was very helpful. Thank you!

I took Money, banks and art tour with Caterina. Absolutely fantastic experience, it was my second time in Florence and only thing I regret is that I haven’t got tour in my fist trip. Wonderful stories, mystery of the city and Medici family creates unforgettable vibes of that magic city. Hope to come back and explore more soon.

Fantastic tour with absolutely one-of-the-kind guide

Enthusiastic, encyclopedically educated, mostly in love with the city hystory, architecture, art, literature, cuisine and any !
Fantastic command of both Russian and English for a non-native speaker, that furnished with deep vocabularies meeting demanding group.
Recommended for any walk of life and age group. Preferred with little homework reading on the city and art history.
Every question was address with profound subject knowledge. We could hardly part.
All of our group dream of making the follow up Firenze trip next year.

Caterina is an amazing Guide

I am so pleased that I came across Caterina. Before we arrived, she helped me plan our day in Florence, advising me on advance ticket purchases and booking a restaurant for lunch. We did the 4 hour walking tour including the Uffizi and the Accademia. Caterina is really knowledgeable and very passionate about her work. Our twenty year old history loving daughter and her friend were captivated. I would highly recommend Caterina.

An unforgettable trip in Florence with great guide Fedor

Our tour was amazing. In the morning, we met with Fedor and passed through various monuments, which he told us very well and interestingly about their history. Fedor had no problem speaking Russian and translating it into English if I didn't understand something. On his recommendation, we went to a great restaurant. He was enthusiastic and very knowledgeable. He was also engaging. Hope to see you again someday, or at least hope to stay in touch :). 10/10 for us, highly recommended!

Incredible guide

This was my first experience with a private guide, and Mme Barcucci made it incredible and really unforgettable! During just three hours I got to know not only the key points of the history of Florence, but, also, learned how to understand and distinguish the different architectural styles, could see how the art of sculpture evolved with time, how much information could be encrypted on the frescoes, and, finally, among other things, got priceless insiders info on how to choose the true Italian ‘gelato’ and other advice on how to make your Italian trip really ‘Italian’. Our communication with Caterina was very friendly and open, it was the dialogue, not monologue of the guide, I was free to ask any questions and Caterina tried not only answer them, but, gave me much broader understanding on the theme. The only thing I can regret about, is that it was three hours only!.. Hope, in my next time in Florence we could meet once again and continue..)
