Wow, crazy crowded
Sep 2019
My wife and I sat at, met at, and walked through this piazza often. We stayed in Venice for four days. We found the traffic in the piazza overwhelming, depending upon the time of day.

Housing a bus terminus
Jun 2019
Since our bus started and arrived from that piazza, we visited it quite often. Besides the bus terminus, there is the Museo di San Marco, a fantastic museum and church, and also the Monument of General Manfredo Fanti, a great soldier, who fought for the independence and unification. On the perimeter are several restaurants and small shops.

Not as many pigeons
Jun 2019
Anyone who has visited Piazza San Marco in Venice will know what I mean. Actually I don't recall seeing pigeons at this one at all, and we were at the square at least four times because we used number 14 bus which starts/ends here. There is a church and we ate twice at one of the restaurants. The Galleria dell'Accademia is just around the corner. Otherwise its small and nothing special.

Nice place to sit awhile
Apr 2019 • Friends
This piazza does not have a lot of historical buildings but it’s a nice small piazza that is not overly busy and you can sit for awhile and catch your breath before you head off exploring again.

Not much to see, though nice...
Oct 2018 • Couples
We sat on a bench and watched the world go by as we enjoyed a beverage from a nearby market. It’s a very busy place, since it is a main transfer point for city buses. There isn't much to see really, though it's a nice, relaxing, and entertaining place to spend a few restful moments.

Small but beautiful!
Sep 2018 • Friends
This is one of the smaller piazzas in Florence but it is very beautiful . It is anchored by the Basilica di San Marco and it's activity level is vibrant. It is not the biggest or the best but it is beautiful none the less.

Small and crowded
Sep 2018 • Couples
The small square in front of the Basilica di San Marco is one of the usual meeting points for groups of tourists, which often makes it very crowded. The square is not big, and, beside the basilica and the museum, there is not much to do here. In the center of the square there is the monument of the general Manfredo Fanti, one of the leaders in battles for the country’s unification in the 19th century.

This Piazza needs more care
Oct 2018 • Couples
One of the historic piazzas with the stone faced San Marco church as its main feature this square needs some money spent on it to make it more of a jewel

Little square with an interesting statue!
Oct 2017 • Solo
This square is very small. There is a beautiful statue in its center, some pew benches and only this! What I thought strange is the fact that there weren't trees in this square. Because of that, it doesn't attracts me.

Would not visit this Piazza
Aug 2018 • Family
Would not recommend this piazza to visit. It was a meeting forums for a lot of tours and lots of cars driving around.
Nothing special and plenty of other places to visit
