The area
Neighborhood: Duomo
Florentia, as it was called by Latins, is permeated by an eternal beauty spread in all corners of the city. The historic center is characterized by the immensity of the Duomo, able to transport tourists into the brightest age of Florence: the Renaissance. Who does not know the Brunelleschi Dome, San Giovanni Baptistery and the Giotto’s Campanile? Everything is enclosed here and it would be easy to imagine the city as it was in ancient times, with maids walking in the main square and horses carrying coaches. Nowadays, roads are busy with street artists. Rustic Tuscan bakeries give way to fashion shops; just stop for a few minutes in the middle of Piazza della Repubblica to enjoy the colors and sweet melody of the carousel that will bring back great memories from anyone’s childhood.

A wonderful elegant place to stop for a light snack or coffee and a delicious pastry ..
we had the cake of the day which was sublime and coffee that was just perfect .
Friendly staff , wonderful location ( close to all the top end stores ) and winding little passage ways .
It was just the perfect place to stop for a bit and refuel .

Via della Vigna Nuova is one of those streets where most people go to enjoy a walk and do lots of window shopping without worrying about going over their budget! There are some really lovely shops with world famous designer brands, probably beyond many visitors. Still, it's worth a visit, just for the experience.

Excellent location to explore the city centre. All the best attractions are no more than 5-10 minutes walk. Spring is the perfect time to visit this captivating city.

We walked around a bit in the area of Via della Vigna Nuova, as well as Via de'Tornabuoni, which combined seemed to have about every high-end brand name we could think of off the top of our heads. Via della Vigna Nuova, in particular, seemed to be a fashionista area for male suits and tailoring needs. We spotted some particularly smart looking men's suit shops on this street.

While not an attraction by traditional sense, the concentration of Italian brand name and high-quality shops makes this an area to target for those interested in a luxury shopping experience during their Florence trip.
