Our guide was Giulio with Ciaoflorence Tours and Travels www.ciaoflorence.it. We took a first class bus on a wine tour of the Tuscany Chianti region. We stopped in Greve for shopping, wine, and touring, then off to two rustic, authentic wineries up in the hills. It was beautiful and the wineries were hosted by knowledgeable guides who did not "cheap out" on the tastings...overall one of our best days in Italy.

First a little background, my wife and I are in our mid-50's, married for 10 years(2nd marriage for both of us, first partners didn't like to travel) and neither of us had ever visited Europe. Since we first met we knew Italy would be our first stop. We also knew that a large tour group would NOT be for us. Throughout our stay we saw so many of these poor souls, herded along behind the bouncing umbrella, cane, or flag. NO THANK YOU!! So I searched and searched for small group tours in our price range and somewhere along the way came across Tamara. Tamara promises custom itineraries in whatever price range you deem acceptable. And boy, did she deliver. We did 3 days in Florence, Siena, and Venice.. We told Tamara we liked food, wine and history and she booked every hotel, every tour, even the bullet train to Venice and she hit it out of the ball park on EVERY ONE!! Please do yourself a favor and email her before you book any trip to Italy. If you have any questions at all or want more details about our itinerary please do not hesitate to email me , andyb 1958 Comcast net. You know how to put that together right? A totally incredible trip all thanks to Tamara.

My husband and I just returned from a wonderul vacation in the off the beaten path (not a big tourist area) trip to Abruzzo, Italy -- the province to the east of Rome (Apinines Mountains to the Adriatic Sea). We booked a week "cooking school" package with Wine and Tours that included small hands-on regional cooking lessons in the morning with afternoon sightseeing (including wineries, olive oil making farms, fortresses, and ancient hillside town visits). The lodging of the cooking school was a beautiful hotel in a midievil hillside fortress town with views looking over vineyards, olive groves, and the Adriatic sea, with wonderful multicourse food (and lots of great wine) for each meal, that was included in the package. The agent, Tamara, at Wine and Tours, was responsive to my many pre-and post-booking questions and helped make the experience truely wonderful. We would highly recommend her services.

I made our booking on line with Viator for six people. I was quoted the price in Canadian dollars but when we got our visa bill, they had taken the same amount in euros. I was on the phone for 45 minutes with someone who disputed my claims and kept putting me on hold before being told that yes it was paid in euro and that I would have to send an email, I sent an email and got a standard reply but have heard nothing since.
The tour itself was good. Our group were in their own mini bus which was new and clean with bottles of cold water provided. Our guide was David, he was friendly and professional and we loved his driving !!!! We drove through beautiful country side and reached the vineyard which was in a stunning building. The tour was a little dis organized, but we learned some interesting things. The wine tasting itself was great, we tried three wines and each sample came with plenty of food that it was paired with....different meats and cheeses. From there we drove to Grieve and wandered around the pretty town. We then drove back to Florence. The half day was perfect for us as we were with one individual who did not drink wine....although we happily guzzled his share.........I'm not sure that I would use Viator again. I understand that mistakes are made, but they should have better customer service in rectifying problems.

Our tour of Prosciutto, Parmigiano, Balsamico and Winemaking enterprises in Emilia Romagna was the highlight of our recent vacation in Italy. It was a perfect day, well-planned and expertly executed. Alessandro, our guide, is so charming and personable -- everyone would agree -- but also is an excellent speaker. We learned so much from him and had a great time doing so!

Wine and Tours assisted us in planning a perfect, incredibly enjoyable vacation to Tuscany. The hotels Tamara found for us were charming and ones we never would have run across ourselves. The cooking class that she coordinated at Azienda Agricola Casanova was the highlight of our trip. The only downside--not Wine and Tours fault by any means--was our time doing a wine tasting with a local author. Tamara was quick to identify our complaints and more than responsive to our needs. Our trip was one that we will remember for the rest of our lives and one that we reminisce about often. I highly recommend Wine and Tours.

We loved these wines so much that we bought 2 wines and an oil to have shipped home. The tour guide was very knowledgeable on his Chianti wines that it made you fall in love with the wine even more.

We were only in florence for the day and we bought tickets from a vendor close to the entrance to the Post office. we paid a lot Canadian but really wanted to see the country side ... We paid 55 euros each for the half day Chianti wine tour. If you are staying in Florence it is good to check out the day before what tours are on cause if you buy tickets 24 hours in advance you can get some of them 50 % off. It was hard to find the meeting place for the tour in the heat. This tour met at 1 pm at the Burger king which is across the street and over to the left from the main entrance of the train station it would have been nice if we were given the directions cause we could not find the burger king and went to the other side of the train station looking, extra walking in the heat. The tour was auesome. Two organic winery’s with some small nibbles to go with so better pack something to eat or buy something in the village stop. the bus ride was pleasant with airconditioning and a very good tour guide explaining things. It was worth it. They have one that includes dinner and sunset.

Wine & Tours arranged our entire honeymoon and it was an incredible trip. Tamara set us up with flight and hotels for Florence, Sorrento, and Rome. She also gave us food recommendations at every stop. The travel was smooth and we ate a lot. I would recommend her for anyone looking to find the right places to go throughout Italy.

"Thanks to Tamara we had a fabulous adventure to Florence and Venice. Everything from the reservation process, to check-in, to the excursions and travel within Italy were smooth and handled with the utmost care for our comfort and enjoyment. Tamara enlisted three professional photographers to work with us on the basics of photo composition, the features of DSLR cameras, and establishing points of view and depth of field. Florence and Venice were amazing classrooms, and our photographer-tourguides shared with us the hidden gems of their cities. We cannot wait to join another tour with Tamara -- perhaps Sicily in the Spring? Ciao-Ciao! Sharon Akkoul, Syracuse, NY"
