Overview
This tour has been my best selling one for over 15 years. Customers finish the tour truly understanding the importance of the Renaissance and the Medici family. We cover topics that to many society's today are taboo but during the Renaissance were part of everyday life. I love sharing the ironic, strange & different daily routines of Renaissance Florence.

All tours are considered semi-private up to 11 people. If your party is composed of 12 people or more people it automatically becomes 100% private.

Paul Costa actually arranged for guided tours for us in Rome, Pompeii and Florence. He matched us with knowledgable and energetic guides. It was evident they had a passion about their home cities and the places they were discussing. Rosa led us through Rome, Sasha through Pompeii and Paulo in Florence. The guided tours lasted from 2-4 hours and each time we could not believe it was over, they were so interesting and cared about our comfort. Paul coordinated everything and even helped us out last minute with private transportation. It made our family's trip to Italy memorable and so much fun. Would definitely recommend his tours as his guides have personal knowledge of the cities they lead tours on and you get some fascinating and unexpected facts. Thanks for a great vacation Paul and all his guides! Ned; Patti; Ned and Joseph.

We did a walking tour of Florence with Paul, and it was fantastic. He is extremely knowledgeable and has great stories to share. It would have been easy to be overwhelmed with all there is to see, but he did a wonderful job making it the perfect amount of time and information. He was also a great resource for questions about the city, as it was our first time visiting. I would highly recommend booking a tour with Paul.

I did a walking tour with Paul 10 years ago and booked another when recently traveling with my significant other and his two grown daughters (21 and 24). Paul brings the history of Florence and the Renaissance to life in a very relatable and often humorous way. My significant other was VERY skeptical of a walking tour, assuming it would be dull and a waste of our precious time in Florence. However, he found himself fascinated with every story, particularly about why Hitler saved the Ponte Vecchio and how Michelangelo tricked the Pope. In the end, he was really grateful I insisted we do the tour. The young women with us also enjoyed the tour, reporting that Paul was fun and engaging and that they will never look at Renaissance art and architecture the same way again. We all loved seeing the David and "de-coding" the clues Michelangelo provided in plain sight. From here on out, we will be sure to walk around to the backside of sculptures so we won't miss potentially important details. We all HIGHLY recommend Paul. He is truly gifted and his tours are worth every Euro and more. We only wish he'd been in each European location with us because now we have a sense of just how much we missed!

1) If you just want to taste some wine go somewhere else. If you want an unforgettable online Tuscan wine tasting experience that you will remember forever sign up with Paul Costa now. Paul is a master of storytelling and historical context of all things Italy. His deep understanding of Italian wine, the Tuscan region and everything in between is evident from the first moment you meet him. This guy’s passion will totally ignite your curiosity and captivate the imagination. Our 90 minute online multi-flight tasting was incredibly fun, educational, and everyone in attendance was blown away. Paul, you are absolutely the best!! Thank you for doing what you do! John and Anne A., Santa Rosa, CA. USA. 2) Paul’s online guidance through proper tasting of Italian wines is only the tip of the wine iceberg. The richness and depth of his presentations rely on his unique ability to weave throughout the tastings his vast knowledge of  local growing regions with stories of the founding families of Italian winemaking. Sprinkled throughout was information on the historical significance of each along with incredibly interesting threads of art history. Paul accomplishes this all with good doses of humor, down to earth language and interactive conversation. He’s an extraordinary teacher, an absolute gem! Scott and Jane B. Sonoma County, CA. USA

Several friends and I got together for a virtual wine tasting with Paul. What an amazing experience. Paul has a wealth of knowledge about all Italian wines but we decided to focus on Chianti. Paul recommended 6 wines for us to taste and he broke them down effortlessly. He pointed out the nuances of each one and explained in detail how they were made. Paul is passionate about his craft and has a great personality that will also make you laugh a lot. I can't wait for the next one we do! I highly recommend Paul for any virtual wine tasting and I am certainly going to visit Paul in Florence for an in person tasting and tour.
