Gorgeous in the day. Awesome at night! There is something about this tower n the duomo. They are so beautiful. Really a sight to behold. The weather, the sights....makes Florence magical. Well...except some cafes. The touristy ones

It's a trek - but well worth it! There are several places to stop along the way and catch your breath. I'm almost 70 - and didn't have a problem - younger folks would find it a piece of cake! Going down is a LOT...More

This is a very steep long climb up 400+ steps. I did it with ease in my 40s passed in my 60s. It is a beautiful view but not unlike the one from the Duomo next door.

This campanile was built by Giotto and is right next to the Duomo. It is a tower whose square shape design apparently was a first in art history. The tower has about 70 or so fewer steps than the climb to the top of the...More

Buy a ticket for multiple entry into the dome, bell tower etc. Take a bottle of water, take your time and rest on the different levels. You will make it and it is worth is for the magnificent views

Florentia, as it was called by Latins, is permeated by
an eternal beauty spread in all corners of the city.
The historic center is characterized by the immensity
of the Duomo, able to transport tourists into the
brightest age of Florence: the Renaissance. Who does
not know the Brunelleschi Dome, San Giovanni
Baptistery and the Giotto’s Campanile? Everything is
enclosed here and it would be easy to imagine the city

yes there is a wiry mesh but you can take pictures without a wiry mesh. Moreover the view of the dome is incredible and since you dont get to see the dome from anywhere else, I would say climb both, first the bell tower and... More

Try the Florence-museum website, i think we bought a combined ticket that covered the Duomo, Baptistry, the Bell Tower and a museum. Think it was about euro 18 per person. but you have to book a time to climb the Dome, we... More

There rarely is much of a line for the campanile (you'll find the line at the Duomo, instead), so most of your time will be spent ascending and descending the stairs and admiring the views. I'd allow about 45 minutes to an... More
