A little disappointed, maybe the wet weather and crowds did not help. Our guide arranged from the cruise ship was very average, could not wait to drop us off and meet 2 hours later. The Square was blocked off for inter region football matches. Queue for Uffizi was too long to join in the time we had left,

Claudia is an amazing guide!! She navigated us through Florence with ease sharing history as well as folk lure about the city. We felt right at home with her and City Wonders made our experience smooth and affordable.

Our guide Rosella was an intelligent and thoughtful woman, a local person who knew so much of the history, artwork and culture of the community. We learned so much and saw so much in just three hours- she was an excellent guide. Audio equipment and check in was first rate- skip the line access is amazing. We used this vendor... More

Our tour guide Frederica was very enthusiastic, had good sense of humor. Witnessed some artistic mansions with interesting stories associated with them. Overall a delightful walking tour for the people interested in tales related to betrayal and bloodshed.

We had a great time on this tour! It's definitely worth booking a tour to skip the line for the Accademia gallery and get a chance to see and learn about Michaelangelo's David. This tour was a great option, our guide Angelo was super entertaining and knowledgeable. Our time at the Accademia Gallery was mainly spent on seeing David and... More

We started our tour at the Galleria dell'Academia with Maria Grazia, she first told us about some of the lesser known paintings, then we went to see David. She first let us look around and then showed us David from all angles and explained what we were seeing. After David we walked around Florence and visited the Duomo cathedral, eventually... More

Our guide was Charles, and he made the experience a compelling and entertaining one. With a scholar's insight and a fluent delivery he led us all amongst the crowds and kept us involved in the beauty of the art and the history of the place. An excellent tour!

We did a walking tour this morning with Pia who spoke fabulous English and guided us on a walking tour around the academy and cathedral- she knew a great deal about Florence and showed us some great sites. In the afternoon we had Paulo show us around the Uffizi museum - his knowledge and love of art history was wonderful... More

Staying in Uffizi

Neighborhood Profile
Uffizi
Every visitor coming to Florence for the first time will immediately identify with Uffizi. As in past times, passing through Via dei Calzaiuoli, you can reach the city center, the Florence that everybody dreams of. In just a few steps, visitors can experience the rare beauty of the capital of the Renaissance. walking delighted across Palazzo Vecchio and overlooking Piazza della Signoria, up to the Loggia of the Uffizi where it is possible to fully taste the talent of the best artists who animated Florence over the centuries. When the sun goes down, there’s nothing better than a walk along the river Arno up to the ancient bridge, Ponte Vecchio. It is full of jewels and decorated by the colors captured in postcards.
