'Slow day in Tuscany'offered by Slow-Days® takes you to a family owned vineyard for wine tasting, a charming medieval hill town and full meal at a Tuscan Slow Food restaurant. Not so much a tour as a chance to meet the locals.

I did this tour on June 2 with my two daughters who are 16 and 13. Out of a really wonderful 15 day trip in Italy, this is one of the days that stands out for me. Simon is warm and friendly and genuinely enjoys what he does. There is no canned dialogue that you can tell has been done... More

A friend recommended this tour saying it was one of her favorite things she did while in Italy. We were supposed to do a different Tuscany tour but it got cancelled so we booked this last minute. Simon was very responsive and accommodating and we were thrilled that he had availability. When we arrived at the meeting spot, it was... More

Our favorite day in Italy was with Simon on this tour - it's a must do! Our family of 6 just returned and are still talking about this day! From beginning to end he was the perfect host for a day in Tuscany - the vineyard with Manuela and Paolo was exceptional - as was the restaurant for lunch, the... More

This was the second time I booked this tour, and still think it was well worth it! It is great way to get outside the city for a day and see the countryside. We visited a different vineyard than on my previous trip, had a great lunch, and then made stops at a local castle and small village. Since it... More

What a great tour. Even now a 6 months after getting back to Australia we still talk about this wonderful day spent in Tuscany. Simon was an excellent host. Thank you to Manuela and her family for hosting us. What a beautiful home and beautiful wine. S

My sister and I went on Simon's slow day tour while we were in Florence a few weeks back. Simon is very knowledgeable about wine and the Tuscan countryside. We visited a quaint family owned vineyard where we watched olives being harvested and were treated to a lovely tasting by the father and son owners. Followed by a lovely lunch.... More

Simon picked the 4 of us up, precisely on schedule, in front of the National Library in Florence. Simon is a knowledgeable guide, English in origin and married to an Italian, and thus fluent (and might I add eloquent) in at least both of those languages. We headed out of town and stopped at several points for beautiful views of historic... Simon picked us up promptly and we took off in the coolest retro VW van. It was our family of 4 and a single woman and we all meshed great! The weather was perfect and we enjoyed every spot on the tour. So many photo opportunities! The wine and food stops did not disappoint! Thanks for a memorable day!!!

Each turn was more beautiful then the next - Simon was a wonderful host and tour guide. A fantastic and authentic way to experience Tuscany - enjoying the local foods, wine and people. Shouldn't be missed ! Works out perfectly if you have a late flight - check out of your hotel and enjoy an amazing day and then head... More

We took my family and my wife's family on a tour, and it was simply one of the best experiences we had on our trip. Simon our guide was very knowledgable about Florence and the surrounding region, great personality and really gave the tour a personal touch. We visited a small winery in the morning called Altiero, perched on one... More
