Laura Berti was our phenomenal guide through a private tour of the Uffizi booked as a special birthday gift to our sister. Laura was not only able to easily flex to English and Italian seamlessly, but in addition to educating our well-versed Italian art-loving group she even managed to engage our 5 and 8 yr old son and daughter through a 2.5 hr tour of the museums most captivating works. She added anecdotes that were amusing, historical facts that were stimulating and in the end we all walked away feeling we got much more than we bargained for. It was a delightful experience and I couldn’t have asked for a more professional and enjoyable accompaniment to these unforgettable works of art. Thank you Laura!

Mariela, I won't be able to thank you enough for your words. I'm so glad that you all enjoyed the tour, it makes me feel so happy! I was honored to be part of Lucia's gift and I tried to do my best to accomplish this important task :) Good time with good friends, that's what I brought with me as a memory of that pleasant afternoon. My husband and I had the pleasure of being guided by Laura in 2018 and enjoyed her company so much we returned with our son in 2022. Both times she arranged for transport from our cruise ship’s Livorno port arrival to the Florence city center. There were absolutely no problems and our driver (who we’ve also had twice now) was delightful and full of information was well. They both spoke English very well, which was very much appreciated. On this trip, Laura arranged for us a bike tour and a food market tour. She also arranged for “skip the line” tickets to see the “David.” Both were excellent. I will say the biking can be a bit challenging Amon some of the more crowded areas, but overall it provided the ability to cover much more of the city than a walking tour. The food market is quite interesting and she arranged a tasting lunch with wine for us which we enjoyed immensely. We also sampled olive oil, balsamic vinegars, and truffle products. Laura was very easy to work with and I highly recommend her.

Our afternoon tour of the Uffizi Gallery with Laura was one of the absolute highlights of our two week trip to Italy. Laura was extremely knowledgeable and a great storyteller, which is important when trying to explain the art and make it come alive. Laura was also warm, funny, a great companion for the afternoon with (in our case) a family with teens. The next time we return to Tuscany, we will absolutely be contacting Laura for a full day tour.
Our tour of the Gallery was absolutely money well spent. Laura showed us almost the precise moment when the renaissance started, and then when it ended. The entire story can be told through art at the Uffizi. An amazing experience.

The minute you meet Laura she makes you feel like Florence is your home. We had a short window to see the highlights of the city and she did an amazing job showing us the tourist attractions as well as hidden gems wouldn’t have seen otherwise. Along with guiding us through the attractions and a delicious food tour, Laura was kind enough to help us pick out gifts for family back home and act as a translator with the shop keepers. We will never forget this experience and can’t wait to return to Florence. We highly recommend Florence for You and would definitely take another tour with Laura.

I spent a wonderful 3 hours with Laura discovering things I could never have found on my own. Given that this was my fifth visit to Florence, I had already done the Top 10 and didn't want a standard tour. Laura introduced me to artisans whose families have been producing jewelry, shoes, and leather goods for generations. The proprietors were happy to demonstrate their craft so I could appreciate the skill involved; there was absolutely no pressure to buy. Then we went to the Mercato Centrale, which I'd already visited several times on my own. Laura showed me the market from a local's point of view. She knows many of the vendors because she eats and shops there herself. She whisked me into stalls, chatted with the proprietors, and made sure I tasted things I wouldn't have tried on my own. She explained a bit about the history and economics of the market. I will never look at any Italian market the same way again -- and I won't be intimidated by it, either! Laura is a wonderful guide who somehow reads your mind and knows how to personalize the experience so you get more than you came for. Thank you, Laura!

Beautiful city of Italy with great architecture and buildings. The open to sky exhibition of statues of Greek Gods was an awesome experience and leaves you spellbound. A walk through tour with a local guide is a must so that you do not miss out the background of any set or statue. The famous Trevi fountain is not to be missed for its beauty and setting.

We had a big multi-family group and just one day in Florence. Ismael Penedo's walking tour was amazing! We saw everything of import, and he gave us many extra tidbits of information. He kept the parents and the wide ranging ages of kids engaged and entertained. He even gave us tips for additional touring we did on our own. We had a great experience.

Laura was a wonderful guide for our multi generational trip to Florence. We spent two half days with her. She organized the tours so we had some museum time balanced with walking around and learning more about the city and various landmarks.
Laura took care of the necessary arrangements so we were able to take advantage of shorter lines for the museums. I highly recommend Laura as a great way to learn more about Florence and all it has to offer! We all had a great time - grandma, mother and teen boy.

Laura's tour was one of the best experiences we had in Italy! She's knowledgeable and entertaining. We learned a lot, but most importantly everyone in our group had a great time. In addition to the places we knew we'd be going, she took us went places we didn't know existed (including an amazing food hall) and we saw a marbled paper making demonstration. Very highly recommended.

Our tour of the Uffizi Gallery with Laura was fantastic. She is an expert about the art she is explaining and helped me and my group understand the significance of the art and artists at a deeper level. I 100% recommend Laura as a guide in Florence!
