Our three hour walking tour of Florence with Cate was AMAZING! She was so knowledgeable about the rich history, unbelievable architecture, and stunning artwork around the city! Cate was very thoughtful, accommodating, and professional. We thoroughly enjoyed our time with her and learned so many incredible details about this beautiful city! It was so nice to have our own personal guide versus being in a large group, especially in areas that were very crowded. The highlight of our morning with Cate was seeing Michelangelo’s David. The background of Michelangelo and the details she shared with us of how he created the famous statue blew us away! Cate has such an appreciation for art and architecture, and we really appreciated her creative style in pointing out so many fascinating details along our tour! We highly recommend Freya tours and give our personal guide, Cate five stars!!! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Hilde from Freya's Florence Tours was one of the most outstanding, informed and interesting people our group has ever met. We had Hilde for the entire day and she took us on a curated tour of the Uffizi and Academia and was utterly mesmerising. She told us countless stories of the artists, their works, who was who, who knew who and all the fascinating urban legends associated with every art work. Her English is impeccable and her warm and engaging nature makes her someone our family will always remember. Freya booked us a restaurant for lunch that was the most memorable of the entire month we were away (Vecchio Vicolo). Thank you Hilde, Freya and your team for our wonderful day in Firenze :)

We did a Countryside Day trip which included free time in Sienna and San Gimignano along with a scrumptious winery lunch and wine tasting in Tuscany. Apart from the gorgeous scenery, we were lucky to have a local knowledgeable driver called Lorenzo who also provided excellent commentary in very good English. The luxury car made the trip so comfortable and relaxing as well as the skilful driving. The driver used any spare time to provide additional commentary and was definitely the icing on the cake for this tour.

Our family enjoyed a wonderful tour of the Uffizi with Beatrice. An expert overview of the shift from medieval to Renaissance, with stories about the personal lives and quirks of the artists and the Medicis, which brought it all to life. Perfectly pitched, with great charm and friendliness. She paid special attention to our 12 year old boys and kept them fully engaged with the tour. We started at 8.30 am - definitely worth the early start as there was no queue at all and we sometimes had masterpieces to ourselves.

We had an amazing tour with Cate from Freya’s Florence tours. My husband and I really appreciated the knowledge and personal insights Cate brought to our tour. She made the 3 hours fly by with all the fascinating information she shared and was so much fun to hang out with. We really appreciated her helping us make a reservation for both lunch and dinner (the food was incredible and just what we were hoping for). We couldn’t have imagined a better time and really appreciate Cate’s time and expertise. Thank you again, this tour really made our Florence experience special!

We took a private tour and it was worth every dime. Anne, a 'trusted colleague' of Freya's was lively informative and easy to talk with. Everything came alive with her descriptions. We'd already booked our trip when we discovered museums in Florence are closed on Mondays. This means Tuesdays the museums are busy. Anne was an expert at finding us little tucked away places for us to stay while she explained what we were seeing.
My husband had stomach issues, so for lunch she introduced us to a good restaurant explaining the need to their management for my husband to have plain rice.
If you are on Facebook, follow Freya as she gives a lot of insight to Italy.

Our guide for the day, Sara, was wonderful. Her knowledge of the history of Florence and of the art of the time was truly impressive. We got a real feel for the City of Florence with a visit to the City Market as well as some of the out of the way places, like a local marbled paper maker who demonstrated their skill for us to watch. My daughter particularly loved the shopping tips for buying leather and jewelry. Our lunch location was one of the best meals we had during our stay in Italy. Grazie.

Three dear friends are grateful to Kate for her personalized two days of tours with us! Kate was fun, personable and so so knowledgeable about Florence, it’s art and history. She did a full day tour with us to Uffizi and To see “David” with a restaurant stop we would not have found and enjoyed too. Our second day was the history of fashion and artisans in Florence. We loved seeing mosaic paintings, marble paper printing and many other unique shops and artisans. Without a doubt, Kate would be our go to with Freya’s when we come back. We felt we had a fourth friend along for the two days! Thanks for bringing Florence to life for us Kate.

Four of us took a 3-hour tour of the Uffizi with Lisa the other day. She was fabulous! We learned so much, and the time flew by. Her depth of knowledge and presentation style were unparalleled. A delight from start to finish.

We were paired with Dina for a family food tour. She was really awesome and informative and took us to some great spots for snacks as well as shared a lot of interesting history. She was also very engaging with our 10 year old daughter. Highly recommend!

How much would a tour be for 8 persons? Also for the Uffizi ?
Written March 15, 2018
For a group of 8 people the cost of a tour is 85 euros per hour. For a standard Uffizi Gallery tour of 2.5 hours the cost would therefore be 212.50 euro. Why not check out my website to see the tours offered, together with the prices. There is a link to the website at the top of this page.

I am thinking of spending four or five days in Florence either in August or September. I took an art history course and would love to have a guide show me around. I went to Florence as a young person but I would like to see the art again.
