We booked online which saved some money, staff were very pleasant, as others have said the bus can't get right into the city centre. You will need to be explore on foot, however it was a nice ride around. We got the 24 hour ticket as we are planning on using it again to see the gardens to the south of the river.

We normally use the hop on hop off bus tours around the world to quickly get a sense of the sites to see given time is always short. The whole tour in one cycle is less than one hour and the bus drivers obviously imagine they are driving a Ferrari. The guided tour struggled to keep up with the driver. What was worse was that in most other tours there is a lot of history about the city. This didn’t happen and we had lots of classical music interludes. It isn’t as though Florence has a lack of history.
The stop outside the main station is well hidden and not obvious.

It seems with COVID, this is not running every day PLUS we were sent to go to Stop 1 which, along with 18, does not exist due to road works. That cost us about 45 minutes until we found a small sign sending us to Burger King - so if you're reading this review then you'll thank me for preparing you....!
The trip around Florence is not bad per say. You get to go up to Piazza Michalangelo with the bus but you also get to tour some of the more "dumpy" parts of Florence. If you want to tour the centre, it's foot or golf cart for you.
The buses are reasonably kept but seem to run on varying days due to COVID. That would be OK if their website covered this fact and the stop move. It's simple and effective, I looked at the website when trying to find things and this information would have been useful.

Total scam. All the people on the bus seemed very unsatisfied. I used to take one or another hop on hop off on other cities and it wasn't so bad, but this one is totally worthless. It is very difficult to find where the stops are. None of the stops at all took us less than 40 minutes to the next bus to come (it's time to have your own app to inform in real time where the buses are). Florence could use two or 3 more buses to deliver what is expected to the customer. 29 euros a day is worth more than 19 single tickets in the urban bus (90 minutes each, unlimited stops), which is more frequent and acess more areas in the city. The cityseeing bus can't actually enter the historical city center, so if you wanna see the main attractions of the city you will have to walk anyway. The audio guide was worthless. I didn't see anyone hearing the guides anymore after 2 hours of that useless experience since they learn they would get more advertisements of other excursions of the company rather than historical info. It was very rainy and since all the bottom spots were taken, you could choose waiting another 45 minutes on the bus stop (where many of them don't have a shelter to protect against the rain) or go in the top to get rain and wind and getting no poncho to help you out (for the price, I would expect at least a poncho). In other cities it may be a good experience having hop on hop off, however in Firenze I can't see it working. It's so so far away of what is expected. I'm totally frustrated.

I use these buses all over the world. This has got to be the worst one I have used. We booked through a company called Isango. The company did not inform us that stop 7&8 were not in use, we were sent a map and told we could get on at any stop. We spent ages searching for stop 8 as per the map. Nothing there. In the end we had to walk to the stop 10 at train station to be told by the representative stop 7&8 no longer in use. When on the bus, the bus didn’t follow the route as per the map and missed out some of the stops. On return when waiting for bus back at end of day the bus could not pull up in the assigned space due to another bus so instead of pulling in front it drove straight past a large group of us. The whole experience was rubbish. I have complained to the company who are refusing a refund as they report it states on the hop on hop off website 7&8 are not in use (it is in notes section of the website) but we booked through a partner who sent us all the info. They have said it was our responsibility to check the website (how is this right when we were sent all info) they have not acknowledged the bus driving past us or the awful service. Definitely avoid. I shan’t be using them again!

Ridiculously awful. Audio commentary was a joke - mostly music and hardly any interesting or useful information. Bus stops were not always announced. Schedule was useless - ie. there didn’t seem to be any fixed schedule for each stop. We had to frantically flag the bus down all 3 times at Porta Romana, as it tore around the corner! The app to indicate the bus location in real time wasn’t much good either. I usually don’t like to leave negative reviews but I honestly cannot think of anything good to say!!

Waited over an hour for a bus. When a bus did finally come, the driver drove for a half hour where the driver left the bus and everyone on the bus for 40 minutes in 37⁰C weather in the extremely hot sun. We were not told we could get off, so we waited for 40 minutes in scorching heat. When the driver finally returned, he drove another half hour, then informed the bus he would be taking another 30 minute break and that we should debus. We were now into this trip for 3 hours and were left at a stop nowhere near the heart of the city. We had to take a taxi back to the stop where we began. The company refused to refund our money and stopped communicating with us when they learned we were no longer in the City as we were only traveling through. I strongly caution anyone thinking about booking this excursion.

Bad marks for Firenze card - saves money but mostly messy to use. Extending it requires tourist office help.

Being quite old we wanted to use the buses. Most of the time we ended up walking. The plans of the network do not show the bus stops, the stops are not very visible. A stop in a piazza impossible to find. The piazzas are big and google is not much help. Often the bus takes different route because a street is closed, no info where to find the displaced bus stop. We stayed 6 days in Florence and the visit was very tiring because of the lack of proper information about bus lines. Look up Geneva's TPG site to see how things can be done.

Rude staff and busses with broken audio jacks. It’s also very expensive for what you get on this jump on and jump off bus. The busses need updating. I would suggest getting a bike and cycle round the city rather than do this.

We have used hop on buses all over the world. However Florence, Do not use as everything you want to see, the bus cannot get round. The worst hop on we have ever had, total waste of money! Try the golf buggy city tour, much better although not cheap.

Hi , off to Florence in Three weeks and have booked the 48 hour bus ticket. Do both routes start from the main station as the map for Line B doesn't look like it does?
Also do we have to redeem our voucher first at a ticket office or just when we get on the bus?

Man in jeden Bus einsteigen und das Ticket kaufen. Das Ticket gilt dann 24 Stunden. Jederzeit kann man Ein- und Aussteigen.
