Tuscany offers so much, we flew in and then mainly used public transport, discovering the sights on foot once there.
Starting in Pisa using she shuttle train into the station 5 euro and frequent, then a 10 minute bus to hotel in the shadow of the leaning tower. You pre purchase bus tickets, lots of machines and outlets sell them. A one euro fifty cent ticket allows you 70 minutes travel throughout anywhere in Tuscany once you have boarded your first bus and validated the ticket by having in stamped on board by a machine near the driver. If your journey involves more than one bus keep an eye on your 70 minutes allowed, you can use as many buses as you like within that time.
Pisa is more than the tower area with its stunning history but you need to search it out. Don't forget the sea is nearby, a marina, and beaches further afield.
We took the train to Lucca, absolutely stunning, with hidden gems of squares and streets. It is only a small town but worth a day, hire a bike to cycle the surrounding wall for 8 euro per hour...you can cycle it 3 times in an hour. Lovely restaurants bars and feel.
From Lucca train to Florence, a very busy tourist City, but a must. For your sanity to keep away from the rush for a while stay on the ourskirts and bus in Worth 2 nights.
Finally, do not miss Siena, again by train, lots of tiny streets to discover around the world famous square and Cathedral.
The trains are cheap and efficient, bookable from the UK and you can print tickets or just use your phone.
If you are not impressed with the historic sights in Tuscany you need help lol.
You don't have to go into the Churches etc just enjoy the atmosphere.
One of the trips to put on your bucket list.

We booked the Tuscany Wine Tour with Angela and it did not disappoint! We began our day with Francesca giving us an overview of the day's itinerary and she immediately proved that she was a fun, engaging and passionate sommelier. We toured three organic vineyards and each one offered something unique. Francesca gave us the history of each vineyard and educated us on what we would be tasting.

Our first stop included a cheese and olive oil tasting, our second stop brought us to an incredible and delicious lunch with wines paired for each course. our third stop was a gorgeous castle overlooking Tuscany's rolling hills.

Our group of eight hit it off really well and we had so much fun getting to know one another as we went from place to place. It was a highlight of our time in Italy. I did this tour with my daughter and there was another mother / daughter pair on the trip as well as two couples. The dynamic was wonderful and it was a highlight of our time in Italy. I would highly recommend booking a day through Angela's Tuscany Tour Time.

My girlfriend (at the time) and I had a great time on the Chianti tour. Our guide was incredibly knowledgeable and taught us a ton about different grapes, regions, and how to properly experience each wine. We appreciated that all of the wineries had an intimate, personal feel with the tour/tasting, and appreciated every guest. Not only was the tour great, but they also helped me coordinate a way to propose to my girlfriend at one of the stops and lined it up before-hand with the winery, which was above and beyond my expectations. I highly recommend this company!!

Fantastic Experience with Angela. We initially looked to book at one of the larger wineries, but found this experience more intimate and homey.
Each winery was close to the next, provided interaction with winery owners, many tasting options, little snacks. The 2nd winery provided a delicious homemade lunch. All hand beautiful views for pictures. Angela was knowledgeable and kind. We really loved our experience.

My wife, brother, sister-in-law and I did this tour and I have to say it was one of the most memorable experiences we had in Italy. We were met by incredibly nice Owners of each vineyard who gave us a great explanation of their operations and showed us the art to making wine in the Chianti region. We were served an authentic Italian lunch, and probably best of all, we got to enjoy some great wines. I highly recommend.

We had an amazing day with Andrea. The Chianti Wine tour far exceeded my expectations. The opportunity to visit three producers and spend time with their owners to hear from them how they make their wines, the trade-offs, the easy things to do and the challenges to their jobs. Their passion was evident! There is no comparison to just reading about how things are done; hearing it from experts that actually do the work is special.

The wines tasted and the food provided for lunch were terrific. Each winery had a story that was told by their wines. Each winery host was generous in sharing his/her expertise and we learned at every stop. The Tuscan area was beautiful.

Andrea was an amazing host and guide. He grounded us in knowledge so that we could appreciate what we learned and experienced at each stop. He was fun to be with, and we enjoyed his company as much as we enjoyed each winery stop. The time just flew by.

I recommended that you find a way to put this tour into the schedule for your visit to Florence!

What a fun excursion while visiting Florence! We were picked up in the city and driven to the beautiful countryside to visit three organic Chianti wineries. Filipo was the best tour guide! Extremely knowledgeable about wine making and the history of the region since he grew up in the area. His sense of humor and storytelling made it so enjoyable. He had a close relationship with each of the wineries which made us feel like we were being welcomed into someone's home, not just customers. Each winery offered private tours of their cellars and provided generous pours for our tastings. And the lunch was fantastic at the second stop! Various bruschettas, risotto with chianti, and more. Definitely worth every penny!

This tour was outstanding. Truly a memorable experience and generous in so many ways - wine, food, knowledge and warmth. We started as four couples and within 30 minutes it felt like spending the day with great friends. The wineries were unique, historic and full of family stories topped off with fabulous wine and food. Francesca's experience and joy of the region allowed us to learn so much about Chianti and Italian wine making. We are now hoping to find another tour with Tuscany Tour Time in the coming days before we return to Australia.

I'm so happy we booked this tour. Our guide, Fillipo, was incredibly knowledgeable, not only about wines but the region and history of it all. We went to three wineries — all unique and all incredible. It was an experience I'll never forget.

This tour was amazing! Francesca is a sommelier and was a fantastic guide - very knowledgeable about the region and the wines. She took the time to explain the different wines, how to taste, and how to pair them. The Tuscan countryside was exquisite. Francesca even took the time to stop at beautiful overlooks so we could take pictures (as time permitted). Lunch was provided at one of the wineries as well as snacks at the other 2. We would absolutely recommend Angela's tour company and would do it again! Thank you!
