Not matter how much I write - I will be doing injustice in describing how great we felt about this tour. Family of four (12 year and 19 year old + us). Two tours - City discovery + Academia on day 1, Uffizi on day 2. Right off the bat - got started with brief crisp introduction(and about usage of... More

We booked Paola to take 10 adults and 13 children ages 2-11 through Florence. With the microphones and headsets Paola taught them Roman History, Renaissance Architecture and Medici lore all in a captivating story format that left them interested and entertained. She worked ahead of time with me to customise the tour so we got a break for pizza and... More

Paola transports tour clients straight back into Florence's ancient past during virtually every step of the 4-hour program (Accademia Museum + City Tour). The depth of her historical knowledge is spectacular and breathes so much life into Florence's marvelous sights. Two of our group had taken a city tour on previous visit, but they were equally as impressed as the... More

My sister found and booked this tour for the 6 of us for our first day in Florence, and I'm so glad she did! Paola was an amazing tour guide. She had so many fascinating facts and details about the city and it's history that we were hooked from start to finish. I would definitely recommend this tour!

We did a one day Florence tour with Paola, and were not disappointed. Luigi picked us up at our port and delivered us to Paola an hour later with some history and fun details about Florence to begin our tour with Paola. The rainy weather and my mom feeling under the weather caused us to be a bit behind in... More

Group of 4 cruising the Med. Giuseppe picked us up in port. His intimate and deep knowledge of locale, attractions, history, and culture made our all too short 1 day visit and good as 1 day in Florence could be. His strategy on what see when put our short time there to good use. What made it really special was... More

Staying in Duomo

Neighborhood Profile
Duomo
Florentia, as it was called by Latins, is permeated by an eternal beauty spread in all corners of the city. The historic center is characterized by the immensity of the Duomo, able to transport tourists into the brightest age of Florence: the Renaissance. Who does not know the Brunelleschi Dome, San Giovanni Baptistery and the Giotto’s Campanile? Everything is enclosed here and it would be easy to imagine the city as it was in ancient times, with maids walking in the main square and horses carrying coaches. Nowadays, roads are busy with street artists. Rustic Tuscan bakeries give way to fashion shops; just stop for a few minutes in the middle of Piazza della Repubblica to enjoy the colors and sweet melody of the carousel that will bring back great memories from anyone’s childhood.
