Our private guided tour of the David and Florence was absolutely one of the highlights of our trip. Paola was so knowledgeable and friendly and it felt more like being lead through the tour by one of your favorite college professors - in the best way - than just an average tour guide. We feel like we got to see... More

Before traveling to Florence I read many reviews of potential guides. We had spent time in Florence before and I wanted an experience different from the standard highlights tours. I wanted someone especially knowledgeable about art history with an academic grounding, who would also be a pleasure to be with. Paola Migliorini of Guided Florence stood out and I contacted... Excellent walking tour. Well worth the money. Not one of the many large group tours where it's difficult to hear the guide. We had 5 people total plus the very knowledgable guide. She was willing to customize the tour for our needs and was very personable.

Paola was easily the best tour guide we had during our stay in Italy. It's quite simple - she has a wonderful ability to communicate lots of information in an easily digestible way. Two hours in, and you are still interested and still engaged. She doesn't overwhelm you, and in this sense her tour is carefully considered from the viewpoint... More

My husband and I only had a couple of days in Florence and were trying to figure out the best way to tour it without missing anything. I looked up Paola on tripadvisor and booked her because of all the wonderful reviews! We scheduled two days of private tours with her and it was by far the most memorable part... More

We arranged a 2hour 30minute Discovery Tour of Florence with Paola. Our small group tour turned into a private tour for my husband and I because the other visitors did not make it. Paola tried to make contact and accommodate the others with no success. Paola was well informed about history and art and she made the tour very interesting.... More

Thank you for your comment. Our small group tours are always very small, as we promise. I am happy that you have enjoyed it! I look forward to having you on another of our small group tours: the Accademia or the the Uffizi Gallery More

We had a tour today with Paola and I couldn't wait to say how wonderful it was. She is so knowledgeable about the history of the city of Florence and Renaissance art and architecture. She conveys the information in such an accessible way. Paola was able to address every question our group had. She made a quick trip to the... More

Firstly, this tour is promoted as "small group", and that's exactly what it is - very small groups. So you get the advantages and some affordability of a group tour, but the personal experience of a private tour. My wife and I are generally skeptical of group tours, but this tour really changed our mind. Paola is both an excellent... More

Staying in Duomo

Neighborhood Profile
Duomo
Florentia, as it was called by Latins, is permeated by an eternal beauty spread in all corners of the city. The historic center is characterized by the immensity of the Duomo, able to transport tourists into the brightest age of Florence: the Renaissance. Who does not know the Brunelleschi Dome, San Giovanni Baptistery and the Giotto’s Campanile? Everything is enclosed here and it would be easy to imagine the city as it was in ancient times, with maids walking in the main square and horses carrying coaches. Nowadays, roads are busy with street artists. Rustic Tuscan bakeries give way to fashion shops; just stop for a few minutes in the middle of Piazza della Repubblica to enjoy the colors and sweet melody of the carousel that will bring back great memories from anyone’s childhood.
