This was an absolutely amazing experience! Our guide was Lavinia and she was fantastic. She was fun, informative and made the whole experience feel very personal. She did a great job at explaining the markets, cuisine and traditional Tuscan lifestyle. The farmhouse was amazing and our chef Isaac and authentic Italian cook Carmella were so nice and informative. They made... More

Excellent long day, seeing the area and good length of time at each place. A pity it got dark so quickly in Pisa, but enjoyed our time in other places. Lunch was great and enjoyed the company of the other passengers. Enjoyed learning more about wine tasting. Olivia our guide was friendly and enjoyable to listen too.

Our tour guide Angel was very helpful and knowledgeable of the area. He spent a great deal of time with us to make sure we were comfortable with the Vespa before we moved forward with the tour. We had several stops on the tour and he made sure each time we were all ok.

Such a lovely experience! From the quick walking tour and shopping trip down to the wonderful villa in hillside where you take your cooking class--it's all beautiful! I went with my sister and we had a fantastic experience learning how to prepare the specified dishes. We drank wine, took photos, sampled our masterpieces, and had many many laughs with the... More

I did 3 tours with Walkabout on my trip last summer. I loved the Cinque Terre day trip. It was well planned and so much fun! Wear comfy shoes and bring a swimsuit so you can cool off at one of the stops. My other favorite was the cooking class. We did a walking tour in the morning and learned... More

Lavi took us on a brief historic walking tour, all the while explains what the plan was for the day. We stopped at a local bakery, fresh produce stall, and the bustling Mercato Centrale for some meat at cheese. We had many samples along the way and felt like we were really getting into the 'Tuscan' life. Lavi always made... More

The vespa tour with Angel was amazing! Absolutely the most fun part of our trip to Florence! All of the staff (especially Angel) were very welcoming and personable. Would highly recommend this to anybody visiting Florence... no experience required as the staff show you how to operate the vespas safely.... dress warm if it's cold outside! There is a lot to see and it takes a long time, but the tour was better than expected. Traveled with my family (11 year old, 9 year old and 5 year old) and brother-in-law and only had a short time in Florence, but wanted to see Tuscany. This tour gave us that and more. It hit all the major... More

We toured in Italy and Switzerland with family of 6 in Dec 2016. We sign up the Walkabout tour and it was simply amazing... we had a fabulous guide. I would recommend this to anyone going to Florence! Angel, our tour guide, was super friendly and was really helpful. It was an amazing way to get outside of Florence and to see the beautiful scenery!

Staying in Uffizi

Neighborhood Profile
Uffizi
Every visitor coming to Florence for the first time will immediately identify with Uffizi. As in past times, passing through Via dei Calzaiuoli, you can reach the city center, the Florence that everybody dreams of. In just a few steps, visitors can experience the rare beauty of the capital of the Renaissance. walking delighted across Palazzo Vecchio and overlooking Piazza della Signoria, up to the Loggia of the Uffizi where it is possible to fully taste the talent of the best artists who animated Florence over the centuries. When the sun goes down, there’s nothing better than a walk along the river Arno up to the ancient bridge, Ponte Vecchio. It is full of jewels and decorated by the colors captured in postcards.
