At first a little nervous about driving such an old car through the streets of Florence and out into the countryside... I would have to say that this tour was the highlight of our trip! Beyond worth the amount of money we paid! Our tour guide #fabulousFabian was great and he made it feel welcoming, and very energetic.. The lunch... More

We booked a Tuscan cooking class with Walkabout Florence. They were amazing, friendly informative, more than a cooking class. The tour guides and the Chef made the day a memorable experience. Great value for money, we learnt alot, we ate alot and we laughed even more. No negatives what so ever.

My 13 year old daughter and I joined Julian, Molly, and Carmelle for a wonderful cooking class just outside of Florence. The ambiance was very fun and casual and delicious! The meal we all prepared was delicious, and I appreciated that the way the day was structured allowed us to interact with lots of the other students and hear about... More

I booked two tours through Viator with Walkabout Florence. One was a full day cooking class at a Tuscan Farmhouse (8.20.16) and the other was a full day ride through Tuscany to visit Siena, San Gimingnano, and Pisa (8.22.16) Molly & Julian led the tour through the markets and to the farmhouse. They were fun, knowledgeable and helpful throughout the... More

We took both the Cinque Terre hiking tour and the Taste of Chianti tour - highly recommend both! Such a great way to see the area, especially if you're trying to see a lot in a short amount of time, as we were. The guides were knowledgable and friendly. We were able to ask and get answers to all our... More

This tour was the 2nd tour with this company for my daughter and I since staying in Florence! After the first tour, with a highly knowledgeable and enthusiastic tour guide and a generally fantastic day, we were severely disappointed with this one! Obviously the scenery and actual tour of Italy was beautiful, as Italy is! However, the tour guide really... More

My husband and were on this tour on the 16th of August with our lovely tour guide Sandra. The three places we visited were San Gimignano, Pisa and Siena with a beautiful pasta lunch. Sandra was a lovely guide and we were not aware that Palio was on in Siena. This however turned out to be a great surpriae as... More

Staying in Uffizi

Neighborhood Profile
Uffizi
Every visitor coming to Florence for the first time will immediately identify with Uffizi. As in past times, passing through Via dei Calzaiuoli, you can reach the city center, the Florence that everybody dreams of. In just a few steps, visitors can experience the rare beauty of the capital of the Renaissance. walking delighted across Palazzo Vecchio and overlooking Piazza della Signoria, up to the Loggia of the Uffizi where it is possible to fully taste the talent of the best artists who animated Florence over the centuries. When the sun goes down, there’s nothing better than a walk along the river Arno up to the ancient bridge, Ponte Vecchio. It is full of jewels and decorated by the colors captured in postcards.
