We booked a family tour of Italy with Max in August 2022 and it was absolutely amazing. We had never been to Italy and the idea of a coach tour with set itinerary was not appealing to us; an online research led us to Max.
We emailed back and forth for several weeks, narrowing down what we wanted to do and where we wanted to go. Once everything was set, Max and his team took great care of us, even adding on a fifth person who joined us at the last minute (which involved setting up hotel accommodations for that person during the peak tourist season).
We toured Rome, the Amalfi Coast, Florence, Cinque Terre, and the Dolomites, spending several days in each place (except Cinque Terre which was a long, one day trip from Florence).
We were shuttled about in a private sprinter van which was wonderful and the drivers were excellent - telling us about the various places we were seeing while on the road and ensuring our safety. It was so nice not to have to drive as some locations (I am looking at you here Amalfi Coast and the narrow streets of Rome) were very dicey.
The hotels were generally excellent. Great continental breakfasts and perfectly located. A couple were kind of meh in terms of the rooms themselves, but the locations were all excellent: in the heart of where you wanted to be in each city. That made evening walks so much easier as you could just wander about, see so much history and beauty, and easily find your way back to the hotel.
Max also arranged the tours from each location and they too were generally excellent. He was even able to get us tickets to see the Statue of David on short notice (we forgot to book that in advance and only realized once we were in Florence).
Anyway, I have absolutely no hesitation in recommending Max and his team. We are planning a return trip to Italy in either 2023 or 2024 and will be using his agency again.

Perfecto!! Max and Tuscany in Tour were fantastic from start to finish. They were very professional and responsive as we planned our trip from the United States to see Andrea Bocelli in concert. Max arranged everything we needed in a quick and timely manner and really made our trip special and we would definitely recommend them to anyone looking for help enjoying Italy.

Massimo took myself, my brother and father on a private full-day tour and it was a highlight of our time in Italy.
We started with some time in San Gimignano and then visited our first winery for a brief tour and then a great lunch with wine pairings (plus olive oil and balsamic vinegar). We wanted to buy some wine but unfortunately they don't ship to Canada, which is not specific to this winery and is a Canada thing... We then visited another winery for a tasting and we enjoyed that too but perhaps not as much as the first likely because the wine wasn't paired with food. We completed the tour with a short visit to Greve including an old butcher shop.
I described the tour to my wife and now I'm on the hook for another trip with her and for sure I'd use Tuscany in Tour and request Massimo as he was a great host and provided information along the way the contributed a lot to the experience.

Max organized for us a perfect trip to Tuscany, Cinque Terre and Venice.
Everything was done accurately and with perfect communication.
5/5 stars for Max and 6/5 stars for our guide Massimo who transported us safely, gave us a lot of information every day about the places we visited and was a pleasant daily company.

I absolutely recommend Chianti drivers! The cars were clean and the entire company was so easy to deal with and professional. Massimo was our private driver who spent the day with my family touring Siena and San Gimignano. He was amazing!! He was so friendly and extremely knowledgeable - giving us insight into each location and sharing stories about the history. He even detoured a few times along the way and brought us to picturesque locations to take photos of our family. We loved him! Chianti will be my go to every time I’m in Florence! Thank you for everything Massimo!!

The trip was very good, thank you Max for all your help. The tour guides were personable and informative, Massimo was an excellent driver. He’s knowledgeable and gracious and eager to ensure we enjoyed our travels. The cooking class was fine though not extensive, the truffle hunt was fun and the lunch which followed was exquisite. Overall, we had a great trip and would definitely use your service again.

As i said amazing road and wine trip. All these places were so beautiful and scenery .. Montepulciano great spots Montalcino mystery vibes but Pienza was my favorite ! Stunning town with quality restaurants and small shops . It was like a fairy tale ,Definitely worth it

I first contacted Max a couple months before the trip to have him plan out a custom itinerary for 11 days in Italy. He always responded within 24 hours which was already a good indication of what was to come. After reading the itinerary that Max put together, I submitted the deposit for the tour for my family and was beyond excited to begin.
Our itinerary included Rome, Naples, Amalfi Coast, Florence, Venice, and Milan. All the tour guides were super knowledgable and provided deeper context for all of the attractions that we visited. It was extremely interesting to hear about how the history connects throughout all the cities. Our drivers, Massimo, Ottavio, and Osvaldo (Sorry, I can't remember the names of the other ones!) provided the best service I had ever seen on a private tour.
The tour was amazing but my family and I would like to suggest for the tour guides to slow down a bit. Sometimes, it was a bit hard to understand what they were saying at times. In addition, it would be great if the agency could advise us on the tipping etiquette because it was awkward for the driver from Rome to Naples to explicitly ask us for tips at the end and seem upset when I didn't have the money at the time to tip him.
Overall, this company is very professional and executed each step of the itinerary flawlessly. Would recommend to anybody!

Massimo was the best. We enjoyed all his knowledge of the area and he entertaining, too. Very professional and made for a great day for our entire family. when we go back, we would definitely want to have Massimo be our guide.

This is the second time we have used this tour company. Max put together the entire 10 day itinerary and we requested Massimo as our driver since he was so great during our first trip 6 years ago.
Everything was first class all the way...from our greeting in Venice to our drop off in Rome. Upon arrival in Venice our local driver took us to the dock, where our water taxi took us direct to our hotel dock in the city. The hotel was only a 10 minute walk to St. Marks Square, with many shops and restaurants along the way. Our local guide was very informative, and our gondola ride was great (all arranged in advance). Our water taxi upon departure was right on time, and Massimo was waiting for us at the pick-up point and greeted us as long-time friends! From there we stayed in Bologna, Siena and finished in Rome, with many interesting stops along the way in places such as Monteriggioni, Montalcino, Montepulciano, Pienza, Arrezzo and Cortana. We had guides in Bologna, Siena, Arezzo and Rome - all very informative, pleasant and spoke perfect English. Our wine tasting at Poggio Rubino in Montalcino was amazing - Brunello was some of best wine we have ever had. We look forward to it's arrival at our front door! Also did a cooking class in Bologna - made our own pasta, sauce, fillings..it was a great experience. Our chef Manuel at the Culinary Institute had a great sense of humor and patience with us and made the experience memorable.
Spending our time with Massimo has us considering our next trip - it was truly like meeting up with an old friend. We discussed a myriad of topics, he updated us on his wife and children, not to mention his being an encyclopedia of knowledge on all things Italian!! Further, the Mercedes Van, with built in wi-fi, was spacious and comfortable. This was a special trip as our adult son was with us and the trip was a celebration of his accomplishments as well as our general desire to build upon our first visit. I cannot speak highly enough of the personal care and commitment of Max and Massimo to ensure that everything goes perfectly for their clients. We look forward to working with them soon on another memorable experience.

Can you do something similar to this tour "Private tour from Florence THE BEST OF TUSCANY " for may 23 2021 however we would like to end in pisa and be dropped off at a hotel there after the leaning tower. would like to do a winery stop if possible. pick up would be at the palazzo Vecchietti in florence.
