Our lovely guide was Ossa and she did a great job to introduce wine & food of the Tuscan region to us wine noobs. We were in a group of 8 and toured 2 wineries and visited Antica Macelleria Cecchini. Ossa was great at explaining the specialties in the region. The food along the tour was fresh and delicious. My... More

Although only given 2 day notice, Rebecca was able to accommodate us with a the Chianti Classic personal tour with Bernardo in the Tuscany region. It was the highlight of our trip to Italy.I would not recommend waiting until the last minute to book a Tuscan wine tour like we did for the fear of it being booked!! We were... More

We participated in the Wines and Villas tour on 9/13/16. Katherine, our guide, was wonderful, and lead us through a marvelous tour of the Tuscan countryside and two wineries. We had a homemade lunch on a hilltop overlooking the valley, and also toured a Medici villa before driving back to Florence. Everything about the tour was well organized, and it... More

My wife and I took the Tasty Tuscany tour with Jessica as our tour guide. It was an amazing tour even though it rained off and on for our tour. Jessica was extremely knowledgeable about the region and the places we visited as well as super fun to spend time with. This tour was a great combination of good food... More

Will you get plenty to eat? yes. Will you get plenty to drink? yes. Will you have a good time? yes. Take some ginger root pills or anti-motion sickness pills though if you are car sick prone.

We were so impressed with the wine our we did last year that we decided to do another- this time the half day "Wine Time" tour. We visited 3 vineyards (pace yourself!) in Chianti Classico and had lunch at the third vineyard. Everything was well organized and delicious. Our guide was both educational and fun. Would highly recommend any of... More

We were 8 in the van driven very nicely by Catherine. She is an American married to an Italian, an expert on wine and a fun person to be with. The day was filled with a visit to a pastry shop, two wine visits where we were given the royal treatment by the owners, and a wonderful meal. It was... More

We really wanted to book the half day wine tour, but i'm so glad it was sold out because the Tasty Tuscany tour was truly amazing. We were skeptical because its listed as 7.5 hours which can be intense, but this tour was anything but. Jessica did a fabulous job bringing us to watch (and eat) gelato being made, the... More

Staying in Piazzale Michelangelo

Neighborhood Profile
Piazzale Michelangelo
Just outside the ancient walls of Florence, Viale Michelangiolo starts. It is a winding road rimmed by wonderful poplars and holm oaks. The long ascent opens up to the most beautiful and famous panoramic viewpoint of Florence: Piazzale Michelangelo, where an elevated terrace offers visitors an incomparable and breathtaking view of the entire city from above. During good weather, Piazzale Michelangelo provides visitors with a serene space surrounded by the amazing landscape, better if accompanied by a fresh gelato from a local kiosk. During night, visitors will be dazzled by the warm lights of the capital of the Renaissance. Spend a second with the silent Romanesque beauty of the Basilica of San Miniato al Monte: the one that wishes good morning and good night to Florence!
