It was a great day with wine, olive oil and beautiful Tuscany. Guido was punctual, smiling and ready to give us lots of interesting information. He and his driver took us to beautiful places, not only to vineyards (cheery picked to our preferences) but also to the countryside and hidden gems. He knows a lot about wine. He talks about it in an interesting and passionate way. Thanks to him, we also tasted the best olive oil in the world and had a wonderful lunch in the countryside. He also recommended a brilliant ice cream place. Guido has excellent English and a great sense of humor. We recommend him with all my heart.

We booked a tour with Guido in October for an all day tour of the Chianti and Chianti Classico regions. Guido was wonderful. My wife and I toured with him on October 16, 2019 and we were the only ones on the tour with him. We had learned about him from a friend who toured last year and highly recommended him. The tour is expensive but we felt it was money well spent given the time we spent with him and the education that Guido provided. We toured the countryside, made several stops just to take in the views for photographic opportunities. Guido is talkative as described but he has so much to say and we thoroughly enjoyed our conversations with him. As the day went on it felt like we were with family. He was thorough in his olive oil and wine tasting education as well as food pairings. He took us to a restaurant in the hills of Chianti Classico which was a tiny place that I would not have known about or ever found on my own, and yes this was a lifelong friend of his, but the food and the hospitality was exquisite and the best meal (of many great meals in Tuscany) that we had.If back in Tuscany I would schedule another tour with him and explore different regions such as Montalcino. I have contacted Guido since returning home about his expertise in food and wine pairings and he has promptly answered my questions.

Outstanding tour! Guido's passion and knowledge of all wine, but more specifically Italian wine and its history and culture make this tour a must for any wine lover from novice to sommelier (which Guido is!) who comes to this area. This was our second tour with Guido, our first was a few years ago in Bolgheri, and both exceeded our expectations. His relationships with wineries and restaurants will give a true insider experience. Listen to Guido and you'll come to truly understand why the Italian culture embodies the integration of wine and food. This is not a "run of the mill" tour guide...this is a true Italian wine experience! Bravo!!

I rarely give a negative review on Trip Advisor unless I feel strongly about a wrong doing; thus, I want to warn fellow travelers not to book with Guido unless you want a glorified cab ride. We were a group of four who paid 500 euros for a wine tour of Tuscany. From the time he picked us up to the end of the tour, he never shut up but talked incessantly and kept repeating himself. The wine tours were given by himself and not the employees of the wineries. Wine was mediocre at best. He then took us to a restaurant where the food was very good but also very expensive. We assume that both wineries and the restaurant were friends of Guido. The very worst part of this tour was at the second winery he actually booked four other people to join us for the wine tour. Ours was to be a PRIVATE tour which we paid dearly for and absolutely should not have been a shared tour! Three of us were so disgusted at this point that we didn't even partake in it. Guido is a scam! Be wary fellow travelers

Ok ! Here I am to reestablish facts a bit. The “500Euro cab ride” was a 10 HOURS SERVICE where I had to come to pick you up at the Port of Livorno at 07.30 a.m. and I dropped you off, back to the Port of Livorno at 05.30 p.m. and 500Euro was the price for 4 persons ( 2 couples NOT a family ! ) i.e. 125 Euro per person for a “cab ride” of 10 hours, plus another two hours drive to come to Florence (where I am based) to Livorno and to come back at the end of the service. You said that “wine was mediocre at best” WELLl ! The first winery where we stopped was CASTELLARE DI CASTELLINA a winery that every year it gets scores above the 90 points with Robert Parker, on Decanter and on Wine Spectator with most of its wines, a winery with a well known and a world-wide reputation for the high quality of its wines ! The second winery was PRINCIPE CORSINI VILLA LE CORTI a winery that even recently got highly rated by James Suckling former top editor of Wine Spectator. “From the time he picked us up to the end of the tour, he never shut up but talked incessantly and kept repeating himself.” Well, It looks like that I do “educational wine tours” and my talking was mainly meant to provide information about the history of wine in Tuscany, the different types of Tuscan wines, their characteristics, the various denominations and styles that are to be found here in Tuscany, in order to give the possibility to my guests to have a full and a better understanding and consequently a much better appreciation and enjoyment of what they will taste once at the wineries. Both wineries know that I am a certified sommelier and a certified “wine taster” and therefore they trust my competence and my professionalism well enough to introduce and to comment their wines properly, without having to rely on the personnel of the winery. It just happened that some people (2 persons only !) at the second winery thought that I was part of the personnel of the winery and they started coincidentally to follow us during the visit to the winery (without disturbing) but the wine tasting , certainly the most important and the most interesting part of the winery visit , was carried out privately. With regard to lunch, we stopped at LOCANDA DI PIETRACUPA definitely a highly reputed restaurant in the area with true fine food and certainly not a tourist trap. However I am very glad to acknowledge, that 109 out of 111 of my guests have truly enjoyed wineries and restaurants where we had the pleasure to stop !

While Guido claimed that he usually only took 6 people on this tour, he jammed 9 into his van that had NO air conditioning. He NEVER stopped talking. The first winery was lovely, but the 3 wines we sampled were not. We then made our way to a very expensive restaurant where he ordered a bottle of wine and then had us pay for it. It was so expensive that he did not eat, but waited in the van. By the time we arrived at the second winery, 5 of us had enough and didn't even get out of the van.

Guido was wonderful! We did a day tour with him in Tuscany. He met us at the ship on time and was very knowledgable particularly about wine! He took us to some great wineries and also selected a fantastic restaurant that was a 'local' spot and did not cater to tourists. He spoke fantastic English, his van was absolutely spotless. I would recommend Guido for whatever tour he is offering. We were clearly focused on wineries and he did not disappoint us!

When we go back we will certainly call Guido again!

Great Tour and the best way to start off our Tour in Florence - to quote Guido “Food screams for wine, wine screams for food”. We learned so much about local wines and wine in general. I can not recommend this tour enough. He was awesome!

We just returned from Italy, and had 2 tour days with Guido in Tuscany. Let me preface this by saying we have toured with Guido on 5 other occasions and keep returning because the experience is so wonderful, and Guido is just so enjoyable. He has managed to show us different wineries and provide new experiences for us each time, and at the end of each day I have learned new information about Tuscan wine. My husband and I have done wine tours through other notable wine regions in the world and Guido is up there with the best guides we have had in Burgundy and Bordeaux.
I love his passions for the region, for wine, and for making sure you are getting a true experience of the region as a local would, not just tasting the big named wines. He has an exceptional palette and is not afraid to give honest opinions when he doesn't like a particular vintage or wine, even in front of the winery staff. Also, his English is high level so he is able to describe the nuances in the wine without issue.
I would highly recommend the "Guido experience" for anyone who is interested in Tuscan wines and wants a truly knowledgable and enjoyable guide to lead the way.

Guido was very knowledgable and helped us to understand Tuscan wines. He arrived on time, and took us not only to montelpuciano but also montelciano, which was a great surprise. He listened to what we wanted and really delivered. He even got one place to let us taste extra wines from their sister winery. We had a great time and really loved this experience because of how passionate Guido is about wine and educating people.

Guido was a big part of our second trip to Tuscany. We had spent a day at some wineries with him on a trip to Tuscany two years ago and contacted him for our trip with family this past Christmas. He met us at the airport in Pisa and took us touring in Chianti before delivering us to our destination in Siena. We spent another day with him at wineries in the Montalcino area. He is very knowledgeable, courteous and thoughtful. On another day he drove us to several small towns. We really enjoyed his company and highly recommend him.
