One of the many bridges over the Arno River, this one connecting Lungarno del Tempio on the north to Lungarno Benvenuto Cellini on the south bank. This is the 4th iteration of this bridge, originally built in 1837 as a suspension bridge, then in 1890 as a steel bridge, In 1944 it was destroyed by the retreating German forces and rebuilt in 1949 as the unassuming reinforced single arch concrete bridge you see today.
Elegant in its simplicity, this bridge also provides a more eastern access to Piazzale Michelangelo. Nice photos from Ponte Alle Grazie.

Originally built in the first half of the 19th century and called Ponte San Ferdinando (in honor of Grand Duke Ferdinand III), the current structure dates back to the 1940s, given that the first bridge was destroyed by the Germans during the Second World War. It's nothing particularly fascinating, but the view of the Arno from here is very beautiful, full of greenery. Right next to the bridge, in fact, are the Lungarno del Tempio gardens, with an area for dogs and several bars that overlook the river.
