We had a fantastic tour with Valentina. She really entertained us with her deep knowledge of the novel and background history of Florence. It was great to visit all the hotspots as mentioned in the book. Valentina made also some great recommendations for some sightseeing and where to find good local cousine. Tour is highly recommended - especially for Dan... More

A beautiful place to visit. We enjoyed every minute. There is so much to see that we didn't get to see everything that we wanted. Some hotels can help by selling tickets to some of the more popular attractions, so best check with your hotel as this will save you a lot of time in queues. Loved it will be... More

Florence the Birth place of Renessa. Small city in Tuscany is a must visit. Cathedral, Basilica, Galleries and a day visit to Pisa will be ever remembering. Hotel San giorgio is in walking distance from Railway station and ideal to visit Florence on foot.

Guiseppe was a terrific guide through the central market and a great teacher in the kitchen. This was a very different experience off of the tourist track.

Every amazing day starts with a bit of luck and that is true in this case. We had a picture perfect day, and happened to be the only family on the trip this day -- making it feel like a true personal VIP tour, although we learned that there are never more than 8 people per guide. The other things... More

My friend and I did a small group tour visiting these beautiful coast towns. Our tour guide, Christian, did an awesome job showing us the most picturesque spots and was very knowledgeable of the area. Wear comfortable shoes and be prepared to walk some hills/stairs but it's all well worth it.

Two years ago I took the Ufizzi Gallery and Vasari Corridor tour with FlorenceTown tours. It was excellent. So this year for our return trip to Florence I booked two tours with them based on our prior experiences. The tours were scheduled for next week but unfortunately my partner suffered a heart attack and is in the hospital. I contacted... More

I took the Cooking Class at Tuscan Villa with Market visit. Marco was a good instructor and interesting to talk to about food and Florence. We started out at the market, looked around at the products for sale, and had some meat, bread, cheese, and wine. Then we took a scenic drive out for a short visit to the winery.... More

We took this cooking class and had a fantastic time. Martina and Javier were outstanding teachers. They made the class lively and fun. I will most definitely recommend this class to family and friends.

This was a lovely tour. Our tour guides were very good. The tour guide in Siena was very informative because she grew up there. We didn't have enough time in San Gimignano as I had hoped because we had a late start and the area started closing about half hour after we got there. The Chianti dinner was very nice.

Staying in Duomo

Neighborhood Profile
Duomo
Florentia, as it was called by Latins, is permeated by an eternal beauty spread in all corners of the city. The historic center is characterized by the immensity of the Duomo, able to transport tourists into the brightest age of Florence: the Renaissance. Who does not know the Brunelleschi Dome, San Giovanni Baptistery and the Giotto’s Campanile? Everything is enclosed here and it would be easy to imagine the city as it was in ancient times, with maids walking in the main square and horses carrying coaches. Nowadays, roads are busy with street artists. Rustic Tuscan bakeries give way to fashion shops; just stop for a few minutes in the middle of Piazza della Repubblica to enjoy the colors and sweet melody of the carousel that will bring back great memories from anyone’s childhood.
