This was a great class. From the moment we met up with Lorenzo at the tour offices, to meeting Paola, our chef, we knew it was going to be a fun evening. The good thing about this evening (we did the 6pm class) is that you meet a real range of people, it's great fun and you get to eat... More

The Tuscany Wine Trail trip was excellent. More than what I expected. Christian was fantastic, very knowledgeable and enthusiastic about wine and the history of the areas we traveled to. To learn so much about the harvest and wine ageing process was very interesting. The evening ended with a very filling Tuscan meal. A very memorable experience, thankyou Christian!

After we found our meeting place, we walked to the Central Market and learned about various types of meats available and looked at the colorful displays of food. From there we went to the kitchen where we made tiramisu, pasta, ravioli, and sauces. It was great! I came home and using the recipes from the class made 3 different dinners!

I'm currently in Florence right know with my wife. So far this town is awesome it has a lot of impresive estructures and very beautiful. The cathedral and the Dome is a must see place. It has a lot of restaurants with romantic ambience and some normal. One of the Piazzas has a carousel that is very pretty and almost... More

Rode in a comfortable mini van and visited three wineries. Explored the cellar, learned of the wine making process and were able to get up close to vineyards. We had a wonderful sit down dinner, got to know our fellow tour goers and ended the evening with Christian dropping us right where we needed to be for our return to... More

My personal reason for taking guided tours is to understand rather than to know. I love to see the stones, buildings and landmarks as part of a bigger story. I don't care so much when they were built or their exact name, but why and who built them is what interests me. Through stories I can also remember the names... More

We had a wonderful tour of Tuscany which ended with a dinner and wine tasting in Tuscany. Our guide, Christian, was beyond knowledgeable and knew all the wonderful histories of the towns, the villas and the wines. If you need a tour in Florence, ask for Florencetown, and Christain!

Staying in Duomo

Neighborhood Profile
Duomo
Florentia, as it was called by Latins, is permeated by an eternal beauty spread in all corners of the city. The historic center is characterized by the immensity of the Duomo, able to transport tourists into the brightest age of Florence: the Renaissance. Who does not know the Brunelleschi Dome, San Giovanni Baptistery and the Giotto’s Campanile? Everything is enclosed here and it would be easy to imagine the city as it was in ancient times, with maids walking in the main square and horses carrying coaches. Nowadays, roads are busy with street artists. Rustic Tuscan bakeries give way to fashion shops; just stop for a few minutes in the middle of Piazza della Repubblica to enjoy the colors and sweet melody of the carousel that will bring back great memories from anyone’s childhood.
