This was such an amazing day with Fabian. An all around great person to spend a day with and he is so knowledgeable about the area. Bonus: he's a great photographer! Absolutely the best of you want to experience Chianti country - will absolutely be taking another tour on our next trip.

Fabian was outstanding. He accommodated our late request with a tour that was truly the hi-light of the trip. He was knowledgable and pleasant. Would highly recommend a tour with Fabian for anyone, and we will definitely book with him on our next rip back to Tuscany.

Fabian was a fantastic tour guide. We did a truffle hunt and winery tour/tasting. He has great knowledge of both local food and wines, and is a great guy to spend a day with. Would highly recommend.

Fabian was an amazing tour guide. More than we could have asked for! Fabian arranged for us to tour 3 different boutique wineries and it was obvious that the wine makers and employees appreciated Fabian and his expertise. He went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable and relaxed. We were picked up in Florence and he drove us to the Montalcino region to explore wineries known for their Brunello production. Each vineyard had a different vibe and also different wine attributes due to difference in soil, climate, etc. Fabian has a ton of knowledge when it comes to wine making and wine tasting and it was great to hear his thoughts. Will definitely do a tour with him again next time we are in the Tuscany region!

During our two weeks in Italy, we kept finding ourselves saying how special our Tuscan wine tour was. My fiancé and I agree, our time spent with Fabian was by far our favorite experience in our two weeks in Italy. Fabian was friendly, knowledgeable, and extremely thoughtful. He taught us so much about what to look for in wines and made everything very easy to understand. We appreciated the conversations through our day together and honestly felt like we were on a trip with a long time friend.
Fabian picked us up in Florence in the morning, drove us through Tuscan hillsides, and took us to three different wineries throughout the day. Each winery had its own uniqueness, charm and specialties. The differences in the land, altitude, sunlight and more all made for different tasting in each wine. Every part of our tour was top notch and I couldn’t recommend it enough.

Our best vacation experience ever!!!! Wow! Where to start! If you come to Florence you MUST take one of his wine tours! My husband and I had the pleasure of taking a half day tour with Fabian and this has been by far the BEST experience we have had! Fabian is engaging, and explains everything about the wine making and drinking process in a way that is understandable. We booked last minute and he was incredibly responsive and accommodating. We were unable to get a table at a winery (due to our last minute reservation) and he booked us a reservation at an amazing countryside restaurant that was incredible! I truly can’t say enough good things about 13 Chianti Road! We are picky and Fabian/13 Chianti road blew us away! 10/10 stars!!!

Leaving this review after having spent an incredible full day touring multiple wineries in the Tuscany area with Fabian. This private wine tour was everything we could have asked for - from Fabian's expertise to his calm demeanor and willingness to teach two people who had absolutely zero idea what they were doing. You can't get a better Sommelier or experience than this!

Unique, customizable, private wine tour with a certified Sommelier... what more can you ask for! Fabian supplemented the vineyards experiences and expertise with additional color of his own which was very helpful. Aside from amazing history, ambiance and wine, the personal level of conversations we had with each vineyard was our favorite part. I strongly recommend him to anyone who wants more than a traditional wine tour. Thank you Fabian!

These tours are run exclusively by the owner, Fabian. He is not only a sommelier, but has lots of relationships with local wineries and loves to share his knowledge. We booked a custom tour and told him we would have our young kid in tow. As a parent himself he built a customized half day at wineries that had lots of things for kids to explore and were very family friendly (as well as amazing wines). We would highly recommend 13 Chianti and are going to look him up in our next trip to Tuscany!

Travelled May 2022. Spent a great day in the Brunello region around Montalcino with Fabian! I went on a tour about 5 years ago with Fabian, and when I had the chance to return I wanted to learn more about Brunello, and Fabian at up a great tour with 3 very different wineries in the region. We had s great time talking with the wine makers about their field and operations.
Fabian is also a great sommelier to guide us through the tasting room at each winery. I look forward to seeing Fabian again the next time I head to Tuscany!

Hello David,
First of all I want to thank you for contacting 13 Chianti Road.
Greve is located very centrally in Tuscany and the perfect base for a whole bunch of nice day trips. Here are some ideas for wine and food tours:
Private Vernaccia & Chianti Tour - This tour combines white and red Tuscan wines. We start the day in the area of San Gimignano where we visit the town's historic center and two boutique producers of the white Vernaccia. Our multi-course lunch is at one of those wineries. To conclude the day we head over to a winery in the nearby Chianti Classico region.
Private Super Tuscan Wine Tour - On this tour you will taste some delicious examples for this famous type of Tuscan wine, along with some more traditional reds. The tour includes the visit of three boutique wineries and a multi-course lunch at one of them.
Private Brunello Tour - This tour takes you to one of the smallest and most famous wine regions in the world: Montalcino. Also during this day you will visit three boutique producers of the renowned Brunello di Montalcino, along with other wines. Lunch is again at one of the wineries.
Private Truffle & Wine Tour - This last tour suggestion is perhaps the most unique experience: A private truffle hunt in the company of an experienced truffle hunter and his trained dogs. This stroll through the forest is followed by a freshly prepared, multi-course truffle lunch. In the afternoon we visit a local boutique winery.
These are my first spontaneous ideas. I hope you like them. Your dates are available at the moment still.
All my tours include the pick-up and drop-off at your accomodation, transportation in a comfortable vehicle, bottles of water, the company of an experienced sommelier guide and as many photo stops as you wish.
