This is not a large place but perfect for taking photos of the Duomo and the Cupola. It seems to be part of the Piazza del Duomo as you hardly notice leaving one and entering the other.

My city, my life. Florence is the beauty. If you visit Italy you can miss Tuscany and Florence. San Giovanni's Square is just stunning, a jump into the Florentine history. I would recommend you to go on the top of the dome to have the...More

It is difficult to determine when one leaves the Piazza del Duomo and enters Piazza San Giovanni; maybe because the trio of beauties are so captivating. However, eyes back down to earth, the building ornamentation on lesser buildings and the vitality in the square are...More

The square, which is a continuation of the Piazza del Duomo, is completely dominated by the famous Florence Baptistery. But, there are some other marvelous architectural works around the three sides of the square. Don’t miss the wonderful Loggia del Bigallo, the late Gothic structure,...More

This has most of the attractions from the historical center, but it’s very crowded and you can’t enjoy the view in quiet. In the evening is not crowded and you can enjoy the view and taking pictures.

This Piazza does get crowded during the day. Lot of tour groups and visitors taking in the sights. However the Piazza is best after dark. It is romantic to stroll through the piazza after everyone has gone home. The Duomo all lit up at night...More

This is probably the most crowded square in Florence. It is home to the Duomo and Baptistery. Be prepared for very large crowds. The best bet is to go early morning or late afternoon/early evening. It does afford beautiful views of the buildings.

This is such a beautiful area with spectacular buildings, notably the Duomo, and all the other connecting buildings. It is amazing. However, if you go during midday, it will be super crowded and instead of looking around at the architecture, you will just be having...More

Florentia, as it was called by Latins, is permeated by
an eternal beauty spread in all corners of the city.
The historic center is characterized by the immensity
of the Duomo, able to transport tourists into the
brightest age of Florence: the Renaissance. Who does
not know the Brunelleschi Dome, San Giovanni
Baptistery and the Giotto’s Campanile? Everything is
enclosed here and it would be easy to imagine the city
