Four fun Americans loved the Segway tour and our tour guide, Vanessa. Beautiful hot day in Florence. Learning to ride the Segway was surprisingly easy on the street outside the office. We zipped all around Florence with instructions from Vanessa in our headset. She was very knowledgeable and spoke beautiful English with a delightful Italian flair. Vanessa covered a lot... More

We had someone book a Segway tour for the five of us our last night in Florence. 3 1/2 hours prior to the tour he phoned to say there was a misunderstanding and there was no guide to take us around, but we could still rent the segways. Kind of defeated the purpose. We walked to this location to see... More

We had the best experience and Vanessa was an amazing tour guide. She took us all around the city in exactly the amount of time that she said she would, and as an added bonus we even got to taste some amazing gelato. Can't wait to come back another time!

It was my wife's birthday so I thought we'd do something interesting, when this came up to me. It met our expectations, although I had to translate for my wife because they didn't have a Chinese-speaking guide, which was understandable. The segway is fun, attracting quite some attentions from others, but Florence is way to crowded, even for segways. The... More

Having segwayed throught Roma, we became devotees of the segway and were equally delighted with our tour in Forenzi. Our guide, Vanessa with a big italian personality and a degree in history was both informative and entertaining during our two and half hour evening tour. The evening although still hot, was preferable to the day, and once on our way... More

Thoroughly enjoyed this Segway tour. We booked because we had enjoyed our Segway tour in Rome. We all had ear phones so the tour guide could talk to us as we were traveling around. The guide was knowledgeable and interesting, she knew the history well and answered all our questions. We even stopped for gelato

Staying in Duomo

Neighborhood Profile
Duomo
Florentia, as it was called by Latins, is permeated by an eternal beauty spread in all corners of the city. The historic center is characterized by the immensity of the Duomo, able to transport tourists into the brightest age of Florence: the Renaissance. Who does not know the Brunelleschi Dome, San Giovanni Baptistery and the Giotto’s Campanile? Everything is enclosed here and it would be easy to imagine the city as it was in ancient times, with maids walking in the main square and horses carrying coaches. Nowadays, roads are busy with street artists. Rustic Tuscan bakeries give way to fashion shops; just stop for a few minutes in the middle of Piazza della Repubblica to enjoy the colors and sweet melody of the carousel that will bring back great memories from anyone’s childhood.
