About Paola's Florence Tours
Buongiorno! I have been a licensed guide since 1997 I am a native and raised in Florence from Florentine generations. Since I was a student, I have been involved in different aspects of the tourism industry. I have worked as an hotel manager, flight attendants for Meridiana (Italian airline company), Technical Director for a travel agency, Tour leader in Japan, Argentina, Asia, Usa and Europe in general. Then I decided to take up a new career as a Tour Guide and, since 1998 I organize day-trip around Tuscany together with my husband, Giuseppe (who is also a licensed tour guide). We provide both private walking and driving guided tours throughout all Tuscany, including Florence, Siena, and Pisa and its provinces. I specialize in private off-the-beaten-path tours, wine & food tours, cooking classes, artisans and shopping tours.

We also did a walking tour of Florence. Of all the tour guides I’ve used, Paola is the best. She knows so much history and cultural information that the tour is so informative—but never boring! Paola not only knows the best places to go, but she also knows when to go. She has a vehicle that can drive up close to the sites so you don’t have to walk forever to get to your stop like you do on a bus. I think you get so much from a tour with Paola. I can’t imagine using any other guide.

Even if I'm from Florence it was incredibly interesting to visit the Accademia Museum (the one with the famous David inside) with Paola....I learnt so much about Michelangelo's life....his personal story and his philosophy! It was an Amazing tour in my city and I really loved it! Recommended for everybody!

We not only enjoyed our tours with Paola and Giuseppe, but we also enjoyed meeting and getting to know them. We felt as though we left Florence with two new friends. They met us at our hotel with a very nice and comfortable van, and they were always on time. They were both always pleasant, informative, insightful, and attentive. Paola took us on an introductory tour of Florence, the Duomo, and the Accademia and to San Gimignano and Siena with a wine tasting and lunch, and Giuseppe took us to Volterra and two small towns nearby and to Pienza, Montalcino, and Montepulciano. Every tour was a joy! Thanks to you Paola and Giuseppe for a lovely trip to Florence, and we’re looking forward to seeing you next year.

Paola and Giuseppe exceeded my expectations after booking a tour for Sina and San Gimignano and. private cooking class with them. As a gift for my husband's birthday, the tour was everything we wanted and more. We were picked up on time and whisked away to Siena, we learned so much more than we would have if we had gone on our own. We had lunch at a family winery which was truly a highlight of the day. Then we were off to San Gimignano for more fun and exploring. From start to finish it was exceptional. Paola made planning the day very easy too and everyone in our group counted this tour as one of their very favorite days on our trip. Our cooking class which was on a separate day was also an unforgettable experience. I'm so thankful to have found her and will definitely enlist her help for a tour again if we ever go back. If you are looking for a unique experience, that's easy to plan and wonderful from start to finish I highly recommend Paola's Florence Tours.

My wife and I booked the Florence half-day walking tour with Accedemia during our honeymoon to Florence. Our guide, Giuseppe, met us at our hotel and proceeded to walk us all around the historical center of Florence as we popped in and out of many buildings of historical and architectural importance. He knew many of the local shop keepers who were happy to say hello as we walked by and he even recommended a tiny unassuming restaurant in a small square for lunch (it was great too). We definitely felt like we were getting an insider's view on this historical city. Giuseppe was very knowledgeable and kept our attention all the while building up to the grand finale of the Accademia and David. We highly recommend Giuseppe (or his wife Paola) for his guided walking tour of Florence and the Accademia.
