We spent the entire day (six hours) with Viviana both in Siena proper and in surrounding Chianti. Viviana is a wonderfully knowledgeable guide, who provided us not only with a wealth of information about the history of the art and culture of the city and surrounding region of Chianti, but also a window into contemporary life. We walked the streets,... More

We had an excellent private morning tour with Viviana, who met us at our hotel and walked us around the main and back streets of Siena, showing and explaining so much to us about her wonderful city. We learned in great detail about the architecture, the art, the history, the people, the food and of course the Palio race! We... More

A group of 8 family members had a 3-hour walking tour of central Siena with Viviana Girola in the afternoon of August 11th. She was friendly, knowledgeable and spoke excellent English (very helpful since we knew only scattered words in Italian). She provided a great introduction to the city. As we were there the week that the Palio was taking... More

My sister and I had one day to see Siena. We spent a half day with Viviana and she was excellent! It was definitely worth paying for a tour guide to get to hear all of the history of the city and see so many interesting things that we never would have found without her. I would definitely recommend Viviana... More

Last week we (family of 6 including my mom who is 70 and my three children ages 9 to 13) took a day trip to Siena from Rome and took a half day tour with Viviana. It had always been my mom's dream to visit Siena. I didn't want to take a chance that we could do it justice all... More

When staying in Florence , let one day to have a nice trip to Siena . Everything in this village is ART . From the coloured lamposts on the ancient walls , to the original buildings . Traffic is restricted , so vans from tours or private cars have to park outside the city . You have a main street... More

We thoroughly enjoyed our walking tour of Siena with Viviana. She was so attentive to our needs, allowing us to rest in the shade while she got tickets or maps for us. She provided meaningful narrative inside the Duomo and the pace was good with enough stops to rest from the hilly streets. She took us through some back streets... More

We thoroughly enjoyed our walking tour of Siena with Viviana. We included a visit inside the Duomo with her and it was so much more meaningful than just going in on your own. The pace was good with enough stops to rest from the hilly streets. Her commentary throughout was excellent - we used headphones so she could talk during... More
