Located in a beautiful square, the church has a very rich interior. It is worth having a peak inside the old church.

Nice church located in the Piazza IX Aprile. The interior is as lovely as the outside. Take time to enjoy the viewpoint from the square.

We were delighted to be able to go inside this church as it was closed for renovation on our previous visit. The church looks out onto Piazza IX Aprile and the main portal is reached via a double staircase. Built in the late C17th, the facade is in a gabled Baroque style and to the side is a bell tower with the lower part built in Taormina stone. the inside is lovely with stucco and a fresco in the dome. the altar is built from Taormina marble. Not huge but definitely worth a look round.…

The interior of this church is just as lovely as the scenery that surrounds it. It may be small but it is special. Take time to enjoy both aspects of this old church.

I visited Chiesa di San Giuseppe in Taormina in August 2019. It has a very nice interior and altar with a painting of Jesus and other art. The Chiesa di San Giuseppe is located on the Piazza IX Aprile across from the Belvedere and scenic lookout.
