This is an escape from the tourist hoardes on the Via Umberto with magnificent views over the bay. Like most attractions in Sicily it is poorly maintained and a little scrappy, but it is fairly peaceful and shady.

The further into the garden you got, the more special it became. Inside the garden there are some weird old buildings which is kinda cool. There is also a bird cage in there.

The Gardens are lovely, with some bizarre looking Pavilions. Some of the paths facing the sea are off limits, which is a shame, but I think this is more due to Health and Safety. Maybe a touch more maintenance is needed. The gardens definitely deserve it. Worth while a visit, and nice views.

We spent an hour meandering through this stunning public garden, enjoying the abundant local flora and fauna. Its history is an interesting one, with Lady Florence Trevelyan, originally from Scotland and marrying an Italian nobleman, creating the garden in the late 1800s in a Victorian style with both indigenous and non-native trees and plantings . . . Love the Victorian... More

These gardens are very pretty and there is a lot to see. There are a number of paths through the park and plenty of seating. This would be a nice place to sit and have a picnic. The views from the path on the outskirts of the park are stunning and offer a great photo opportunity. There is no entrance... More

We live in the countryside, so for us, being in a busy town here was different for us. The gardens are a mix of wild shrubs and planted shrubs and flowers. There's a lot of narrow paths which lead you in a maze like way around the gardens. There's some historical artefacts relating to the Second World War, some now... More
