Our first inquiry regarding The Unknown Sicilian Villages and Godfather Tour was answered promptly by Sebastiano. An itinerary with a fair quote was described in detail which was a perfect match for our wishes and needs. We had one guest with mobility issues and these were discussed and addressed in advance. The day of the tour our guide, Luca, met us as expected and on time.
Luca's expert driving on and around the winding, narrow roads of our itinerary was entertaining and informative. He provided extensive information about his island and Italian history. Professional, pleasant and asking about our comfort and needs. The walk through Savoca (GodfatherLand) was beautiful, mesmerizing and peaceful. The locals all seemed to know him and offered samples of their pastries and products.
He provided facts and information relative to the filming of The Godfather and sequels that enlightened us. Forza D'Agro showed us what life in a typical Messina village is like today. Set high upon a hilltop, this Midieval Village has spectacular views of the countryside. Then a short walk thru the Midieval Village of Castlemola, with shops and cafes, was most enjoyable. Lunch in beautiful Taormina, with delicious, authentic Italian foods capped off an outstanding and memorable tour with our expert guide, Luca.

We booked a transfer from Catania Airport to our Taormina Hotel and an all day tour of Siracusa with Sicily Life Tours. Both drivers were excellent, very courteous, spoke excellent English, and gave us great information about the area. During our Siracusa trip they also booked a tour guide for our visit to the archeological area and Ortigia. Our driver, Lucas and tour guide, Italo were great. They made sure that our trip was comfortable and provided us with great information. They arranged for us to sample the local nougat at Condorelli and then got us a reservation for an amazing lunch at La Salumeria - Fratelli Burgio, by the fish market. After our lunch we had the best gelato and coffee of our entire Sicily trip at Levante Gelato Artiginale, levantegelateria.com. Thank you Sicily Life Tours for helping us have an amazing experience in Sicily.

My family’s and I had an excellent experience with SicilyLife during our recent visit to Catania and Taormina. We used and relied on SicilyLife to transport the six of us from the airport, between villas during our stay, on four separate tours, and for the return trip to the Catania airport. They did not disappoint. The drivers drove well, we’re personable, and they were courteous and prompt; and the vehicles were clean and comfortable Mercedes Benz vans.
We enjoyed Sicily Life tours to Mount Etna, Catania, Siracusa, and to Messina and the north coast. We travelled with Luca on tours during the first week and with Alessandro the second week. Both guides were personable, knowledgeable, and flexible, and the tours offered by SicilyLife gave us the opportunity to see various parts of Sicily without having to worry about driving, parking, or renting a vehicle.
We found SicilyLife a pleasure to work with; they communicated well, and the excellent service provided helped make our family vacation a big success. We dealt with Sebastian, the owner, who also drove us between villas and who went out of his way to take us to a few sights off he beaten path.

Luca was the very best guide ever.
He is an awesome driver and extremely knowledgeable about every location we visited- Savoca, Forza D'Agro, Castelmola, Taormina, Isola Bella lookout and even the astronomical clock in Messina. We can't wait to return and visit more of Sicily with Luca and Sicily Life Tours.

We had a wonderful day today with Luca of Sicily Life tours visiting Catania, Mt. Etna and a winery with a delicious light lunch. Luca gave us lots of Sicilian history including all the places we went and made sure we had enough time to see everything. He even made additional stops at little towns and picturesque places so we could get the best photo opportunities possible. I would not hesitate to use Sicily Life and Luca again during our next visit to Sicily!

My family and I have so much praise for Marco. He was exceptional today as our tour guide/driver and took excellent care of us. He was so thoughtful with my parents and was so kind to us all.
He loves Sicily so much and shared his joy and passion with us through his explanations of the country's history and interesting facts.
He made our visit to Messina and Taormina a wonderful experience for us.
Marco is an asset to this company.

Our driver and guide Antonio was excellent. We could not have had a better experience.
A careful driver we felt very safe in his hands as he drove us through the beautiful countryside of steep winding roads and also through the narrow streets of many towns and villages.
His English is excellent, his knowledge of the history of Sicily is comprehensive and interesting, he is respected and well known in all of the places that we visited.
And in one day there were many places:
Mount Etna where we arrived early when it was peaceful, two wineries, one of where we had a huge delicious lunch and excellent wines, the other where we had yet more wine and even more food! We had also visited an interesting place that made the most unique honey we have ever tasted as well as by products of the honey.
Towards the end of our amazing day we visited the Alcantara gorge.
What a wonderful day and BIG thanks to Antonio for giving us such a beautiful experience of Sicily.

We went on the Mt. Etna tour with Antonio as our guide and honestly it was one of the best guides we've ever had! He had so much knowledge of the area - both on a professional and personal level which meant that he could talk about the history of Mt. Etna but also tell us stories about his upbringing that relates to Sicily. A great part of the tour was the wine tasting that was accompanied with delicious local food and desert. And it was included! Would highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Sicily.

Excellent tour company! Our driver was fantastic, he met us at the ship, and took us to taste olive oil and honey, then to Gambino winery for wine tasting lunch, and finally to Castiglione di Sicilia, an interesting village. He gave us lots of helpful information and we all had a wonderful day. Thank you!

We had 9 wonderful tours in Sicily with Danilo, our driver/guide, from Sicily Life Tours. All were fantastic. We had specific requests on our tours and they were all met with pleasure by Danilo. Our tours gave us a great overall view of all of Sicily. We covered all 4 coasts in less than two weeks. We did do some ceramic shopping and Danilo was very helpful with translating and finding a place for shipping. Sabastiano, one of the owners, was very helpful and willing to answer all questions as we were planning our trip. We had to make some changes at the last minute and they were very accommodating. Tours with Sicily Life was a perfect way to see the complete Sicily. We highly recommend this group to any and all travelers to Sicily.

Hi, I have booked Sicily Life Tours to use as transportation and tour guides for a total of 10 days. It is my understanding that they accept cash only. I was wondering if there are ATM's on the island? I feel uncomfortable carrying that much cash with me as we travel through the airports, different hotels, etc. Thanks!

Hello! I am planning to bring my parents for the Godfather tour next year. My father wants to visit the place so bad. They're both in their early 70s and any recommendations where to stay (if in Catania or Palermo), what time of the year (not too hot because of their BP), the cost of the tours and the duration. Thanks for your suggestions! Gonna be the 3 of us for the trip.

Best time for temperature is autumn as spring and summer may be hot for your parents. The Godfather tour goes to villages near Taormina which is about 1 hrs drive from Catania and 4 hrs from Palermo. The tour we did was a private tour with a nice large vehicle just for us $280 Euro. There are bus tours also available at a cheaper cost around $150 Euro etc.
