From the pebble beach at isola bella wade across the small crossing where you pay four euros to explore the nature reserve paths lead you to a small museum of flora and fauna and small houses built into the rock also an abandoned swimming pool .There is some paths with rope across them I choose to ignore them and go up to the house on the top and it was stunning.

Wonderful place, very beautiful little island hardly connected to the main island via a sand/rock line... The water around (and actually in the whole region) is AMAZING.. Really worth the stairs that you have to climb back to get out of it. The little museum in the island itself is not so great... Better take one of the hundred of boats that leave from the main beach and go to the blue cave, the Taormina point and the Shelly cave that also allows you to swim in the sea for 10 or 20 minutes.. Really worth the visit for a day..

To clarify this is the house/grounds that are on Isola Bella which is linked to Villa Communale in Taormina. It is 4 euros to enter and there are a few areas roped off which was a shame and can appreciate why people might think it isn't worth it. But it is beautiful and a lovely place to rest for a bit out of the sun. The views are stunning.

This is a site worth seeing! The views are beautiful and it's not at all crowded. Be prepared to walk down many stairs to the beach. Then be prepared to walk on the large stones on the beach to the beaches edge and then to walk across a small stretch of water to the smaller beach the island sits upon. May be best to plan for a day at the beach if you go there. And better if you are wearing water shoes. Nominal fee to enter and kids under 18 are free.

Not sure if there’s more open later in the season but many of the paths were closed on our visit a leisurely stroll through everything we had access to took only 20 minutes and offered little in the way of flora. The little bay is nicer than what we were able to see of the Museo. Really not worth the 4 Euros/ticket. Might have more open later in the year, check first or just enjoy a stroll over the spit. Try the stairs located on the main road close to the Byzantine tombs. About 800+ steps down then take the tram cars back up to the main road. You can buy tickets for the tram at the office adjoining the tram 3 Euros/ one way. Leaves about every 10 - 15 minutes
