Excellent professional who explained the history of Syracuse with passion and precision. Guide also suitable for children because he knows how to attract and keep their attention. It's a shame we don't have more time to delve deeper and be guided to discover the area.

I contacted Enrica by text and email and she responded very promptly to all communication. My wife and I both thoroughly enjoyed the two hour tour of Ortigia - we had taken tours earlier in Taormina and Noto, and Enrica was much much better than the guides on these tours. She is very enthusiastic, informative and entertaining. (Our tour finished at midday but later that day, around 7.00 p.m. taking another group around and she was still as energetic and enthusiastic). I have no hesitation in recommending her.

Enrica de Melio turned out to be a charming, attentive, helpful and very knowledgeable guide. She met us at our hotel and took us on a private tour through Ortigia and Siracusa. We were able to see most archeological and art highlights, including Teatro Greco, the temple of Athena and the Ear of Dionysius. Enrica's knowledge of the area's history and her excellent skills in the English language made this tour fun and very informative. We would recommend Enrica to anyone visiting Siracusa, Ortigia and Noto.

We did a half day tour with Enrica seeing the ruins and walking in Ortigia. She is very knowledgable, enthusiastic and entertaining.. She is an archeologist and really cares about what she is sharing with you. I highly recommend her services. We communicated via e mail and easily arranged our tour with her.

We did a full day Neapolis and Ortigia guided tour with Enrica and it was one of our best day of our 8 days trip to Sicily (September 2015). She is very knowledgeable and enthusiastic. She is attentive to details and also to our needs. I definitely recommend her for your tour guide in Siracusa. She is making all the difference between seeing only buildings and seeing the history behind all of it. Enrica, thanks again for that great day.

We made arrangements, with ease, a couple of weeks before our trip to Syracuse.
Enrica met us, on time at the mercure Hotel nearby. Enrica has a passion for the history of her town, but at the same time is knowledgeable and a very competent guide. She is a friendly and professional lady, and all four of us greatly enjoyed our visit.

My friend and I thoroughly enjoyed the interesting guided tour provided by English-speaking Enrica on a half-day trip to the Syracuse archeological park. We understand some Italian, and requested her to do the tour in Italian, speaking slowly, which she did. Enrica pointed out some things in the park, such as the tall stone echo cave, which we would have missed on our own.

Enrica is a lovely girl. She was very helpful during our email conversation in which we arranged our day in Syracuse. Her English is excellent, as is her knowledge of history and archeology. And she communicates with great enthusiasm, which makes a guided tour with her thoroughly enjoyable, as well as incredibly informative. In the middle of our tour Enrica took us to the market place where we enjoyed lunch together, tasting locally produced typical Sicilian food. I thoroughly recommend Enrica as a guide. Anyone with any interest in the history of Syracuse will enjoy her company and benefit from her fascinating insights.

My wife and I had Enrica took us through the Neapolis Archeological Park, Ortigia and then Noto. As a practicing archeologist, she brought to life the stories behind the ruins from Greek and Romain periods and make history entertaining and informative to a laypersons like us. She also arranged a very good (& calm) driver, Rosario, for transporting us to Noto and then to our place in Catania at a reasonable rate. If you aren't an expert in antiquity, don't go to the park on your own; find a dependable, energetic and cheerful expert like Enrica to guide you through.

From the very first inquiry email we sent Enrica , I was mightily impressed with her professionalism and beautiful manner. Enrica holds her PHD in Archaeology and this is most evident as we spent the most FABULOUS day with her, walking tour of Syracuse and Ortigia. She was by far the BEST tour guide we encountered on our 5 week trip through Italy. Her knowledge , enthusiasm, and attention to little details
( such as making sure we were in the best possible position to view certain sights, viewing in a particular order to make better sense , inquiring regularly re our needs for nreaks, drinks, etc , and of course patiently answering the countless questions my "ancient history obsessed" husband fired at her ) She is entertaining and delightful and we are so thankful that we found her - we will be recommending her services to our friends who will be touring Sicily next year. Because of her , it transformed what I had imagined would be a mildly interesting day into a highlight of our trip ...Thanks again Enrica and it was lovely to meet you.
