Etna, Wine and Alcantara Tour - Small Groups from Taormina

198 reviews
Discover Mt. Etna without a strenuous hike to the summit, and check out a lava cave and the Alcantara Gorge, too. This day trip from Taormina showcases the history-rich foothills and woodland around Europe's largest active volcano, forgoing the need to scale any steep hills. A traditional Sicilian lunch with wine from the volcanic region is also included.

A nice Italian Market. The flea market items was not that interesting, more like a 2nd hand , used or to be thrown away items. Still one may find interesting pieces there. But the food market with its spices, nuts and pistachios, fruit, cheese and other local specialties was really good. I'd recommend to those enjoying strolling and ...eating in these markets not to miss this one. I have attached some pictures of the flea market, maybe you'll disagree with me and find there interesting items, all the best if they'll make you visit this place.

Fresh food, kind sellers and possibility to try fruits and nuts. Go there hungry as it's full of tiny restaurants to grab espresso or a lunch after a mercato walk!

Wandered through the market twice. Once just to see what was available and check out the local scene and then again to purchase a few things and have some lunch. Some merchandise is pretty flea market predictable-cheap hats and shirts, sunglasses, touristy kitchen towels and aprons, jewelry, pottery, magnets. On the bright side there are also purveyors of bulk spices, nuts, olives, capers, dried fruits, natural soaps, and whatever seasonal fresh food your heart desires. We spotted giant swordfish, all types of mollusks, tuna, imported salmon, squid, as well as some great meat options at the butchers. Super convenient Market to pick up high quality edible souvenirs, wine, groceries or snacks plus a few great little places to have a tasty sandwich or just sample local products.

Some great alfresco cafes. Lovely part of Siracuse to explore. Maybe it would be too crowded to enjoy during the summer
