Why is that ? Because whether you'll park at the main parking at the beginning of this almost island or whether you'll be coming from the City by foot, crossing the bridge, you'll have to pass by it on your way from the Temple of Apollo, to Piazza Duomo and the Duomo itself, Syracuse Cathedral. These are the most interesting places in Syracuse. But I'd strongly advice that, like most of the other places in Ortigia, you try to be there by night, walk the narrow and mysterious (some would even say Magical) streets of Ortigia, and you'll suddenly reach this wide square with this beautiful fountain at its center I'll attach pictures to trey to convince you. This is a wonderful fountain in the heart of the old city. It's very well taken care of and adds to the charm of the city.

The first time we saw the Fountain of Diana it was dusk so the lighting was not that great. However the second time we saw it, it was lit up and the colors changed giving the fountain a special look.

A lovely fountain especially if it is sunny the only drawback is the traffic which is nearly constant mainly at weekends. The Piazza di Archimedes is not so spectacular and the fountain should I think be of Minerva given its Greek ancestry.
