Most Mt. Etna excursions stop at the Silvestri Craters on the lava-covered slopes, but with this exclusive tour you can reach the top of Europe’s highest active volcano with a volcanologist guide. Take a cable car and off-road vehicle to Torre del Filosofo and then continue on foot about a mile (2 kilometers) to the summit craters. Learn about the volcano’s history from your guide and enjoy sweeping views over the coastline.

We stumbled across this beautiful and stunning fountain set amidst the heart of the old city. It is a very recent addition compared to the older buildings surrounding this piazza. We could not resist a cheeky selfie here as we were so taken with this amazing fountain

Why is that ? Because whether you'll park at the main parking at the beginning of this almost island or whether you'll be coming from the City by foot, crossing the bridge, you'll have to pass by it on your way from the Temple of Apollo, to Piazza Duomo and the Duomo itself, Syracuse Cathedral. These are the most interesting places in Syracuse. But I'd strongly advice that, like most of the other places in Ortigia, you try to be there by night, walk the narrow and mysterious (some would even say Magical) streets of Ortigia, and you'll suddenly reach this wide square with this beautiful fountain at its center I'll attach pictures to trey to convince you. Don't miss it.

The first time we saw the Fountain of Diana it was dusk so the lighting was not that great. However the second time we saw it, it was lit up and the colors changed giving the fountain a special look.

A lovely fountain especially if it is sunny the only drawback is the traffic which is nearly constant mainly at weekends. The Piazza di Archimedes is not so spectacular and the fountain should I think be of Minerva given its Greek ancestry.
