I could probably write a book as to why this my favourite bar to visit, but I’ll keep it short and simple: the people, staff and regulars. O.K. a little more. The theme of the bar is 60’s, 70’s music and tech of the era, floor to ceiling is covered with musical instruments, posters, transistor radios, portable televisions, a couple jukeboxes and and? A glitter ball. A €1 buffet is available between 6 and 9pm, I cannot personally comment about it because I rarely venture out before 10pm, however many many people have thanked me (and Qvivi staff) for recommending they try it. For a more substantial meal, the people here also have a pizza and burger bar 20 metres away (Grillo), meals can be ordered from Qvivi. These guys know how to cook. If your experience of a burger is McD’s be prepared for a culinary shock. A friend of mine who now teaches English here was previously a restaurants manager in London, he ordered a pizza which was not on the menu due to various allergies, 10 minutes later his order arrived, at first he smiled then burst out laughing. 5 stars! I am originally from the very north of England, my then local bar served beer, lager and spirits. A gin and tonic would be considered a cocktail, here a cocktail is an art form. For people used to a cocktail culture then probably nothing new, but for me watching the making of a cocktail was live visual art. That said I still prefer draft beer! Music in the main is via their Spotify playlists, but occasionally local bands live. If there is a particular song or songs you would like to hear probably best to ask inside at the bar, but please do not ask for Queen for my sake! I have mentioned a few reasons to visit here but the main reason is the same: the people, staff and regulars. I have no affiliation to the bar, just a happy customer. Bad point: Closed on Tuesday. Enjoy Quivi.…
