Fleas are small but very good at their job

It is a very small flea market, but open every day, and while a lot of the stuff is a bit samey, there are interesting things to be found.

Antiques
Apr 2019 • Couples
This short little street has in excess of twenty stores selling antiques from anything you would throw out to possible collectibles. Typical like a flea market, where the things from the attic are sold. There are even two stores selling used tiles. You either or you don’t.

Fun, but go at the right time of day
Oct 2018 • Couples
We attended on a Saturday, though the place is open every day. It closes and is dead as a doornail from 2.00 pm to 4.00 pm. When stallholders have lunch.
There is a row of tin sheds constructed apparently at random, some around the trunks of large trees that picturesquely adorn the insides of the shops, There’s masses of stuff on sale, old tiles predominate, but ceramics, glassware, chandeliers, furniture, and lots of bits and pieces.
The vendors were universally pleasant but tended to push their goods a little if you examined something. They did however retire gracefully if we decided not to buy something, but when we did, even simple bargaining reduced the price by 50%.
We enjoyed the visit, few spoke English, but all communicated effectively.
The nearest cafè / bar was about 150 metres up the street so we broke the visit in half and had early lunch.

Intersting street and worth a detour...
Oct 2018 • Couples
Some quite unusual - if slightly shabby - antiques, especially tiles, in a series of shops and stalls on both sides of this small street. Worth a look as there are some very different antiques from the usual fare.

Buttons, chandeliers, shells, chairs....you name it, they are selling it. Cash is king. Closes by 2. Beyond the fruit and flower market.

A bit sad
Sep 2017 • Couples
The day we went only a few shops were open. I love rummaging for collectibles but I wasn't enticed by anything here. It really looked like it had seen better days.

don't waste your time, go on-line

This is probably not fair, but the market is more hype and it is worth!

OK, so we were there early in May, not prime time tourist season, and before noon for that matter. The so called market is consist of rather large tin shacks lining both sides of a street. 20% were open for business with a jumble of picked-over antiques and curios.

For serious collectors, don't waste your time, go on-line

Street of antique shops
Dec 2016 • Solo
Came across this place by accident. Looks really interesting, a street full of sheds full of antiques and stuff. Trouble is when you are flying it is difficult to buy any of this kind of stuff.
